One shot at Success. 5 weeks to make it from n00b to fulltime AM

I'll share something inspirational that I read yesterday. It's in an interview with the creator of Dyson vacuums.

It took James Dyson 5,127 prototypes, 14 years of debt, and multiple lawsuits to create the top-selling upright vacuum cleaner in the United States.

Even so, Dyson is just as driven today as when he made his cardboard prototype. "It is the fear of failure that makes me keep working at success," he says. "Having an idea for doing something better and making it happen-even though it appears impossible—those are still my dreams."
I find it helps me to have a big word file filled with inspirational quotes, some people really worked hard in their life and if you look up to those people that's where you'll end up. Best of luck to you in this new chapter of your life!

Thanks for everybody's suggestions and insiparation. Here's a quick update on where I stand. Over the last week I've been launching campaigns in every spare moment of my time. I've launched about 25 of them. Found 3 that are profitable and had my first $100 profit day this week. Even though it may seem like peanuts to most of you, I'm very frikin proud of myself.

So far the goal of not starting that corporate gig seems very achievable.

Good one mate. Now rinse and repeat those profitable campaigns.

dude congrats that is a HUGE step to any new affiliate marketer.

I'm glad you have the ability to recognize success and celebrate it. Keep making those milestones and celebrating them when you achieve them!

A lot of people (including myself sometimes) just have the hunger for more more more and never sit back and celebrate their success.

I have a friend who went from being basically broke to selling his first internet property for high 6 figures in a year, and he barely celebrated any of his successes.

When you're at this for 12+ hours a day, a year can seem like a month.

Make sure to set goals, recognize success, celebrate it, and take time off occasionally =P

Congrats again and I hope you succeed!

I'm sure you will be learning valuable lessons in the next 5 weeks that will allow you to be competent in AM, enough that you can take the 90k job and do this part time to supplement your income even if you don't blow it out of the park completely.

Where in Ontario are you from?

name niches and keywords plz

I'm fedup with the corporate bullshit. I'm so sick of reporting to stupid bosses, it makes me want to scream. I can't stand walking out of a subway and watching the corporate heard crawl into their offices only to come out at 12 for feeding time. I've grown to hate it with a passion.

Yeah, I wonder how he feels about earning what you could earn.

Anyway, I wish you luck maybe you'll earn more from affiliate marketing that your 90k job.

One piece of advice. Once you have that "super" profitable campaign - DO NOT rely on that one solely and give up all the rest. DO NOT spend most of your time refreshing your stats on that ONE campaign.
Start new campaigns regularly in case your ONE campaign goes to shit - case in point Google ban on purple berries.

Your first $100 is the holy grail to the beginning AM...congrats! Now take what you did with that campaign, and start to scale it up, your on your way dude.

And if things get stressfull on the way up, do like I do...crack open a Philly, fill it with preemo black leaf sess, and fuck stress in the ass!

All the best man! You are doing exceedingly well to be making over $100 (minus expenses?) a day this quickly.

It's $100 profit (after all of the expenses). Not sure how sustainable it is.

BTW thanks for advice about not refreshing the stats on 1 campaign. It is in fact 1 campaign that pulls in the most. And it's very damn tempting to sit and refresh the stats on that single campaign :)

Oh and as far as celebrating goes, I just popped open a nice bottle of Bordeaux to celebrate my limited success :)

Congrats... If I were you I'd work that other corporate gig for a month or so and stash up some extra PPC monies.

Congrats man, it sounds like you definitely have what it takes. To be honest, I'm still stuck on the corporate teat (well in 6-figs and still contractually bound in my current gig so even harder to leave).

I've had my $100 AM days but not reliably, so congrats on hitting that benchmark. While you have the ability to totally focus, scale up as best you can and try to build some systems to automate in case you later have to balance with a FT job. But more importantly don't slow down on building campaigns -- 4 or 5 more equally successful campaigns and you have no reason to take that job in the first place! :)

Keep us posted, clearly a lot of people want to see you succeed.

I'm proud of you man, and now that you have no more "night-tamares" you should be able to use that extra energy (and time) to consistently double that daily profit by next week!

Sorry, but I can't resist the urge. For all of the newbies who need your maanger to be there for you when you make very little money, as well as for all of you out there that are NOT yet signed up with Advaliant, here's my affiliate link:

My refferral link

Make sure you deal with Geoofferson and Geofferson only! Amen

Hahaha, I was just going to post "Geofferson?" when I saw his post.
Geofferson is an excellent AM. I just got my first cheque from Advaliant too :)

Congrats mate!

I've been very lucky to had profitable campaigns at my first 4 offers. Actually I was testing the facebook ads for first time. Take the advice to never rely on one offer... The entire set of offers from the merchant I was making profit went to shit (paused till' who knows when) :(

I'm almost broke, but I was accepted on Copeac and wow... very nice network and flexibles payment methods. A lot of good offers too.

Something that helps is I'm a web developer and designer and SEO savyy but if you want money fast PPC is the way to go!. It doesn't matter how much you know, taking action is the key... and dedication.

I will dare to spend borrowed money, but I'll tell you this, in 2 or 3 months I'll start a thread to celebrate your success and mine

PS: Thanks to WF, PPC-Coach, Maxbounty, OurfreeStuff, Convert2MEdia and Copeac for your help and good AM's. As for Hydra and NeverBlue Ads thanks for not accepting me or even reviewing my application tards!.
