They're not even opening on the 9/11/11, they haven't even finished designing the place or getting contractors. Anyone with a real estate degree can tell you that you can't just fix a date like that...especially considering they STILL haven't replaced the buildings on ground zero after all those years.
The info of that 9/11 opening comes straight from a biased BLOG (American Pundit) and I wouldn't trust their word too much. I think it's funny how many people get their "news" from blogs nowadays, no wonder we have people acting all irrational if they don't know the facts

I think it's disrespectful to not allow them to build the "mosque".
Muslims aren't terrorists and Muslims were murdered on 9/11. Saying that they shouldn't build the mosque is labeling ALL Muslims terrorists.... That's dumb (and disrespectful), you're creating more enemies for yourself than is necessary.

Last time I heard about someone getting raped in a religious building it was a small child by a catholic priest. "I'm willing to bet" that for every cited source of a woman being raped in a mosque on U.S. soil, I can find 10 more showing a little kid getting ass raped by a priest. Liberals like you are the ones who are the most dangerous to our country and our future. I talked about this in another thread but let me recap here. Basically what you are doing is diverting our attention from the discussion at hand, which right now is this mosque. I have to give you credit because your technique is very effective, and garners lots of attention.
The reason why this works is pretty simple, because instead of you arguing about the problem at hand (the Mosque), you bring up Christianity. Now this will fly with 90% of Americans because they are gullible, but the smart ones see you as an idiot. The smart and rational thing to do is argue against the topic at hand, which again is the mosque. You have chosen to bring Christianity for no reason other than your own distaste for it. This could be because you were raped as a child by a priest, I don't know and honestly I don't give a fuck why you have something against Christians, it really doesn't matter. If you ever took any classes on proper discourse and/or debate or have ever read any books on it, you will know what you are doing is really a stupid thing to do. You never see any presidents when in a debate say "ohhh wellll loookkk @@@@ whatttt theyyyy aree doinggnsdsss". You know why? Because it is dumb. It prevents any sort of progress on what we are trying to solve right now. Right now there is a discussion about the mosque and if it is a problem or not. Nobody is talking about priests raping little boys. Yes that is a problem in its own right, but that is neither here nor there. Now we are going to end up arguing which religion is worse and pointing out there flaws, which does NOTHING to stop the problem at hand which again is the mosque. Not only does it prevent any action from being taken, it prevents ideas from being put forth cause idiots like you are so concerned with bringing down someone else (Christianity here) for whatever reason.

That is almost the EXACT same position the Muslims are in now. The pope could have said yeah we have our right to build it here, but the fact is he didn't, he respected the Jews (whether their feelings were right or wrong) and knew it would be good for future relations and made the smart PR move, somethign the Muslims have shown they could give two fucks about.
Again, I am on the side the Muslims should just respect peoples feelings and get the good PR while they are at it by simply moving it somewhere that is farther than a few hundred feet from ground zero. Whether these people are justified in their prejudices or not, there is no sense in pissing millions of people off. You as a liberal probably cannot understand that though. I guess to us conservatives its just logical so it naturally makes sense.
