Muslims and Christians do not worship the same God.

Christians worship the God in 3 parts (the Trinity) - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Muslims do not believe in the Trinity, and therefore do not believe in the same God as Christians.

From the Christian perspective, a God without the Son (Jesus) does not exist. Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet, but not the son of God.

I really am not sure if this is all true or not but I do know your pics have nothing to do with speeches. The first is Bush giving a press conference, the second is of one of the greatest Americans to ever live giving a speech in the UK. Of course RR wouldn't have had an American flag behind him in the UK.

I do know that the Progressives (that includes BO and his fucks) believe that too much American pride (flags, songs etc) is not PC or as the fucks say sensitive to others that may not have as much or any pride in their country.

The point would be that photos like those could also be used in "OMG OH NO!" emails, just like the photos of Obama could have been from the likes of a press conference at a Louisiana town hall or from his Nobel Prize speech in Norway.

Why is it insensitive? By saying that you're pretty much saying ALL MUSLIMS are responsible for 9/11...sounds pretty racist to me.

And you know what's really hilarious? The proposed mosque isn't even on ground zero, it's 2 blocks away!!! Of course Beck won't tell you that...but it doesn't change the fact that THE MOSQUE ISN'T EVEN ON GROUND ZERO!

Who wants us to change our lifestyle?

Honestly, if anything much of the Muslim world seems to be westernizing - have you ever been to any of the prosperous Gulf states (UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, etc), Beirut, Jordan, etc? They are melting pots of the cultures and very tolerant/welcoming to most Western culture. I know that doesn't go for the whole Muslim world - but the whole Muslim world is not some sort of intolerant society that has a different lifestyle than we do. It's not the us 'us' vs 'them' you are portraying. Muslims can be Americans, and millions of Americans are Muslims. "They" are actually "us".

Next vacation you take, make a stop in one of the parts of the modern Muslim world, I think you will have a change of heart. There are problems, but it is enlightening to see how similar our two societies actually are.

Again I am all for what you are saying, I would love for everyone to see that 99.99999% of muslims aren't terrorists and don't use their religion as an excuse to kill thousands of people. The fact is still the same though, 9/11 was so recent and still hits hard with many people, so whether it is right/wrong to have those feelings, these people trying to build the mosque should just move it down the street BECAUSE millions are pissed about it. Is it right/wrong they are pissed? Who knows I don't give a fuck either. I am just saying if they had any knowledge whatsoever about public relations, they would have decided to move it when the first few heavy hitters started whining about it. It's just good PR. I mean shit if any company in whatever business faced this short of backlash towards opening up a new plant somewhere, you better bet they will move that shit. It just isn't worth it IMO for them to build it right there with all the heat they are getting.

Is it right or wrong they are getting the heat? Again I could give a shit I'm just saying common sense would tell you to move the fucking thing.
 
First of all, the mosque isn't proposed to be built on ground zero! It's location is a few blocks away...so all the people saying "it's insensitive to build it on GZ" can calm down, it won't be built on GZ.

Look, we can twist this all we want, in the end it's pretty clear that anti-Muslim racism in the US is growing fast...which is kinda sad.

The country was founded on principles of freedom and liberties, yet the people who claim to be the most patriotic are trying really hard to take away freedom and liberties of another group of citizens. Doesn't sound patriotic or American to me at all...sounds more racist and bigot to me.

You're kidding right? Have you not read about how this is an effort by the Imam to better their relations with the U.S.? Maybe they don't care what I personally think, but our nation as a whole you better believe some of them care. And I bet there is a shitload of Muslims right now are concerned that millions of people are angry at them for doing this.

To say some of the Muslim leaders of the world don't care what Americans think is just plain old ignorant, of course they do. It is called foreign relations.

And by not worth it means is it THAT important to build that mosque right there when it is a fact millions of people are pissed about it. Again is it right/wrong they are mad I don't know and again I don't care, but it would seem to me why not just move the thing instead of pissing millions off. If I was a Muslim PR dude that is exactly what I would be doing, and I think you'd be lying to yourself if you say you wouldn't, especially if trying to better your relations with the American people is one of your goals (as many of these leaders have said).
