new marketing strategy

Hi People,

I made a nice web application where people can more easily upload files for free. However, it's only getting ~20 hits a day, and I'm wondering what type of marketing strategy I should pursue. There isn't much text on the site (because there doesn't need to be) for SEO, so how should I do this?

Upload popular files yourself and make posts about them.

that is a great great idea.

Better have a lot of bandwidth for a website like this because all it takes is one semi-popular file and your crashed. If you have a lot of bandwidth and space then I would try to get emails collected for each person that downloads and then send out an email confirmation of the file with some offers to try to convert them on.
