NEW Facebook Ads

I can get away with .35-.40 cents on stuff that gets around or a little above .07 right now for mass targeting.

Fucking hell... I made a typo in one of my ads that I set up last night, the facebook rep that approved the ad didn't click it to realize that the link led nowhere, and I sent traffic for about 12 hours to a blank page :(

Been waiting for my ads to get approved for 4 hours, fucking joke. They've been disapproved once even though IDENTICAL ads have been approved before (I'm running them through a redirect script now).

their approval system is down right now, no one is getting ads through

Budget "spent" without being spent yet?

I seem to have a weird impression issue here tonight;
I had lots of impressions and clicks since I resumed some test campaigns a couple of hours ago.

Problem is - Facebook seems to think I have spent my daily budget already today, judging by what is shown in the "Spent" column. When I have not. In the "Spent" column, it shows the TOTAL amount that has been spent since the campaigns were started some days ago.

Now, that number happens to have reached the same value as their daily budgets.

For example, a campaign had $150 as "Spent" when I started it today (because that was what had been spent so far), and I set my Daily budget for today to $250. So logically, my impressions should stop today when the "Spent" value reaches $400. But not so.

Well, only $100 has been spent so far today, but now the "Spent" reads "$250" - and FB seems to think the limit for today has been reached?!? When in reality, I should still be able to spend another $150... But my impressions and clicks have frozen despite 0.30%++ CTRs.. WTF?!?

Anyone else seeing this problem?

Yeah, I've definitely learned my lesson. The only good thing to come out of this is I had about 10 ads, all with the typo. I submitted two around 3pm yesterday, and the other 8 around 6pm. The first two got approved before the downtime, the others didn't. I would have spent a LOT more money if all those ads got approved, so I'm kind of lucky the system went down when it did.

stupid question probably but...you selected "today" right?

also, i have had problems with my ads stopping because of budget reached when it was actually about half of my budget.

Yeah, I've had the same problem before. I've always increased the budget to 10k, which never gets used up anyways. I just have to keep a slightly closer eye on how much is being spent.

I believe that fb tries to space out your budget for the entire day..
What I have experienced is that halfway through the day if I hit like 45% of my budget they start restricting my impressions.

Many nights stayed up until 3am eastern to release new ads and increase bids to hit budget so I could get the bump.

The fb acct reps know this and the increased spending limits that they are handing out now are pretty much specifically to address this issue.

I don't think Facebook spends it over the entire day. I've had my entire daily budget spent in 20 minutes.

And as far as impressions completely stopping, it is due to the advertising platform being saturated right now, with tons of people wanting to advertise. And Facebook needs to give everyone some impressions. They're working on this problem now.

You have absolutely no idea what your talking about. My impressions have been fine until today, yesterday i got 80,000+ clicks. Yes FB is saturated a bit these days, but as far as me usually getting 4000clicks/hour for last 15 days and now getting under 300 clicks in last 3 hours total, has nothing to do with what you said.

My facebook traffic has pretty much come to a halt over the last hour, anyone else?

My AM told me differently. You'd think he would know about it more than you, wouldn't ya?

4000 clicks per hour? you're maxing out your 30k daily budget every day? damn...you must be getting under .30 cents per click every click you get

Your retarded, first of all your AM probably doesn't know shit. It really depends on who they are. Lets ignore that fact for a second, what'd your AM tell you? He told you that Facebook suddenly got a large jump in advertisers at 5pm eastern today? I can't see how that makes ANY sense and how he would know that.
