NEW Facebook Ads

rileypool: I've had a lot of ads with 2-3% CTR, so 4 is not inconceivable. It's a matter of only having one keyword, and a very specific one, with ultra targeted copy and picture. Seeing as I doubt competition's going to do much to it now, it was for headcrabs.

sticks: Our facebook is their facebook. Haven't you wondered why ads submitted between lunch and midnight are pending the whole time?
That's my biggest beef actually... having to wait overnight to see ads approved.

Uh, ok so this morning all my old ads would not get any impressions when I unpaused.

NOW ALL THE ADS I JUST PAUSED WONT STOP GETTING 20 CLICKS/MINUTE.

Shit!!

I paused all my ads because DirectTrack was down, unpaused and now I'm getting no impressions.
I would love to be getting 20 clicks a minute right now. TLott, why you gotta steal all my impressions?

actually, i'll keep them. it doesn't look like i am getting charged for the traffic. at least my spend-o-meter hasn't updated in hours. this is normally my negative ROI time so hopefully it stays like this tonight.

Tlott- SAME DAMN PROBLEM! Except I deleted the adgroups that weren't getting any imps this morning...now they're coming back from the dead and getting clicks, WTF???

I called my rep to see whats up, no answer. We'll see what he has to say tomorrow.

Traffic just stopped. Got about 1,500 clicks that I cannot account for anywhere inside of Facebook itself.

Happy to see I wasn't the only one with problems getting impressions.

Although it isn't back to normal yet, it has been getting better as the day goes on

Yeah thanks for that Harvey, still trying to get tones thru, still no luck.

So far I don't mind the FB interface too much but two things which are really pissing me off: (a) you can't target multiple countries at a time (b) if you wanna delete or pause ads you can only do so one at a time

Does this answer your question? Are you new to fb ads?

a) Just make an ad copy and change the demo = multiple countries targeted at once.

b) The interface sucks, but you can pause/delete whole campaigns at once if that's what you're looking for.

Also, there's a fb tool online somewhere you can dl or buy, I don't bother using it but I heard its very helpful.

(a) Yeh you can do that but it's a pain in the arse. I wasn't saying it's impossible to target multiple countries it's just that they should have that option within ad creation.

(b) Not always an option, what if you have 22 active ads and you want to pause 10. You have to click though 20 screens to disable those, WTF?

In response to (b) I hate that myself. One way to get around it is to copy ads into campaigns that you aren't using. So move all your CAN ads into one campaign, US in another, etc. Divide it out by subgroups, then you can pause group by group. I guess this is easier for me, I have about 75 or 80 campaigns, not all in use - a lot of space to move ads around. The interface sucks though, that remains unchanged. Good luck!
