NEW Facebook Ads

Hey Guys,

Just want to say thanks too all of you, about 4 months deep in affiliate marketing and doing very well on POF and now looking to transition to FB.

FB newb here trying to get my feet wet, any idea as to why this ad is getting disapproved? My images are VERY clean, all face shots

I'm trying promote cupid app in australia via direct link.

Should I resubmit or is my copy flawed in some way?

Thanks guys!

actual business is Local SEO - very conservative lander, actually doesn't even push a product, just sending them to an info page.

been banking all my affiliate dollars lately through PPV, so i really dont care. also have a few spare accounts so meh. it was just weird to see an account disapproval after a few months of total inactivity. my account spend was 10k and ive made a few contacts over the years there, im going to call in the morning and see what is up. will post my findings here tomorrow.

update on this btw. got off the phone with FB account exec and despite all their apologies for adhering to their TOS, they did not overturn their ban. what it came down to is my repeated attempts to resubmit an ad over and over again.

what i was doing was putting a tiny litte red square with a number in it in the upper right hand corner of the image, so that it appeared as though it were a facebook notification. (the ones i did get approved had SICK CTRs 4% sometimes.)

in the end i told them to fuck off, i had several other ad accounts open in fake names and i was getting quality traffic from adblade.

Yeah FB doesn't want it's name attached to anything but you can say stuff like, "link your profile and ..." , which indicates that they can meet them on facebook in a round about way.

good to here you have done well with POF. I have been doing this for about 4 months now and the best I have done is almost break even on FB... I am getting ready to give POF a try and see if it does better.

Interesting.... that's cool, I'm gonna give that a shot, thx for the input!

Just my opinion I guess, POF seems like a pretty saturated crowd(just like fb), like I'm doing well, but we've built a LOT of infrastructure around it that I wish we did for a more traffic rich source. I say give myspace or even youtube a shot, just because I feel like every affiliate & their mom is on FB/POF.

Hey Guys,

Pardon yet another newb question:

Is facebook anal about calling out user attributes? For example, if I set my targeting only 25 year olds from New York City. Could I say the following as my headline?

25 and Want a Date in NYC?

No, you can't.

What's wrong with the headline are they pissed about the

1. State being in the Headline
2. The User's Age in the Headline?

Both?

Hey guys,

I was reading further back

http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate-marketing/50450-new-facebook-ads-137.html#post1163507

I was just curious, roughly how many ads to put into 1 campaign? I hear putting too many ads into 1 campaign is not good

Is there an optimal # you guys are all shooting for?

Dude, I read ALL 160 pages, and my eyes are bleeding. All I saw was this one area of posts:

LOL

first off I haven't read that far back so even though this might have been covered. here's what I do.

New Campaign ---> try to get 10-30 ads approved. If any get approved - run those and never put anything new in that campaign in case of retro-disapproval.

Move on to new campaign.

EDIT: also if you want to get new ads approved but might be sketchy dont use "create similar ad" in case of retro-disapproval of the first ad.

Cool, thanks for the tip, earlier in the thread they mentioned that TOO many ads in a campaign is bad, because you'll get less impressions. So that being said, shouldn't you be shooting for 1 ad per campaign?

it really depends on the daily spend limit on your account and what you've set the campaign at.
