NEW Facebook Ads

Has anyone been able to track CTR on an hourly basis?

I have been copy/pasting in a spreadsheet throughout the day and calculating the difference to get a "real time" ctr and cpc. I really wish someone would write a scraper.

THIS man I've been doing this and it is a bitch to get the data hourly. Anyone know how much a scraper like this would cost?

I noticed the Facebook Photo Viewer pops up as a lightbox now and the ads are way low. Did they already roll this out where you are located? If so, how did it affect your CTRs?

i thought capitalizing like that in the description wasnt allowed either. wonder what happened to this guy

LMAO, you would be surprised to see all the things that are *not allowed* in a lot of ads that have been running for a while. Maybe they get disapproved at some point, though.

No Change as of yet!

But for sure this feature would reduce number of impressions in general and might raise cpc a little high!

FB "reach" estimates math

Has this one been discussed before..?
One thing that really puzzles me about FB target estimates:

Say you are targeting single males, aged 26 only.
FB tells you that the estimated reach (ages 26 to 26) is 5,306,540

How about the ones aged 27? Let's see..
FB tells you that the estimated reach (ages 27 to 27) is 4,258,480

Based on this, it looks like all single males from age 26 to age 27 would be:
5,306,540 + 4,258,480 = 9,565,020

But that number sounds like a bit too much, so you check the actual range to have FB calculate it for you:
How about the ones aged 26 to 27? Let's see..
FB now tells you that the estimated reach (ages 26 to 27) is 5,450,620 (!)

Based on this, we should get the total number of 27-year olds in that group by subtracting the number of 26-year olds Facebook told us about earlier:
5,450,620 - 5,306,540 = 144,080
Which sounds way closer to the truth than the 9 million above.

But the numbers don't add up either way. How is FB actually getting to these nonsense numbers?

Maybe I'm missing something completely obvious here as I'm high off of flu-medicines and pretty damn tired but it really seems strange.

Just checked and looks like its adding up correctly for me atm, but yeah... the numbers are usually pretty screwed up. You have the "Require exact age match" box checked?

No this was without the require exact age match and it's waay screwed up. However, when I tick the exact age it seems much more accurate, which is a big plus, lol. Still though - both their estimated reach and also the suggested bid for many identical demos seem a bit random. Good job FB :arcadefreak:

Keep getting this error today, when I try to unpause an ad:

"[keyword] - Invalid advert status transition"

I can paused ads, change bids, edit description. Just can't unpause individual paused ads.

Common problem or just me?
