Why is it a trap? What do they stand to gain by you calling them?
 


Disapproving, retro-disapproving and auto-disapproving new ads like a boss. The ones I finally get approved just get retro-disapproved 20 minutes later.

Yup same issue, if I submit new ads for a certain campaign with active ads those active ads will alot of the time get retro-disapproved. So I'm scared to do that anymore, now I'm just trying new campaigns, I don't want money ads to get retroed. I'll submit batches at different points in the day, change my image and ad text slightly... and still nothing is getting through. I've probably submitted 5 batches a day for like 4 days, and can't get anything approved. Super annoying as this account just got a spend increase, but I can't use it.

yeh, i always start new campaigns when I have a campaign with active/profitable ads for that very reason. Sucks because it's more to keep up with, but they are such morons sometimes with the retro shit it's a must.

Also once an image has been disapproved b/c "inappropriate for FB" I always change the image by making the background a different color. Seems like they have filters in place these days that auto disapprove pics that have been disapproved once already.

Do you mean a facebook campaign or ad group?

Ya, I always start new campaigns within FB, I'll never throw new ads into an existing campaigns. I'm talking about campaign in the context of landing page/offer. If I submit a new ad for an existing offer that I have live ads for, they will find the ads that have the same lander or offer and retro disapprove them. It's awesome.

err ad group is what i meant.

wow, i haven't seen that. I had a suspicion that they connected 2 accounts by using my prosper tracking domain, so I'm just DL everything. But I haven't seen them disapprove based on actual offer page (yet.)

Wonder if you just change the sub id a bit if that will make it appear unique or if they have caught on to CID # etc now too...
 
yeah, today fb ads getting hard to run. i have try to create fb ads with my paypal account, but always show, ads manager error...
 
Noob question

My limit is 5k/day I wanna spend that amount in an 8 hour time frame. I know Facebook doesn't have a day parting option, do any of you use the "duration" tab to do this? Any problems with this?
 
Anyone have a working contact email or # for FB? Can't find anything on their site and affiliates@facebook.com isn't working anymore. They locked one of my accounts after disapproving an app and are continuing to charge me daily for ad spend.

I can't prove my identity to get back on it either, so no way to pause it myself.

Does facebook still not allow lead capture/ squeeze pages?

Do they still not allow the word FREE in ads even if you are giving something away 100% free?

and lost but not least...

Do they allow you to display 1-800 #'s in your ads?

Sorry its been way too long since I've messed with fb, but any help is greatly appreciated.

just an idea but maybe you could put your daily budget at 15k so if it tries to spend it evenly throughout the day it would spend the 5k in 8 hours. haven't tried this myself though.
 
I don't think it is possible to spend 100% of your daily budget before the end of the day PST.

also, my account doesn't seem to have the old data and new data switching back and forth anymore after I complained twice about it.
 
Is anyone else having big problems w/ the new interface in FF 4.0 and Safari?

Or is it not browser specifically? I tried over a period of 3-4 hours yesterday to simply create a similar ad and upon hitting the blue 'continue' or 'submit' button at the bottom would quickly show a call to facebook in the status bar but then nothing would happen.

This morning I can't even get an adgroup on the initial home screen to vertically expand when clicking on the title - same thing happens, status shows chatter to facebook but then nothing happens.

Anyone else seeing this?

Same shit here in Firefox 4. Ads seem to go through fine if I automate them but doing it manually has a 30% success rate.

I was getting 'oops something went wrong' messaging all day even in IE8 via a virtual machine.

Normal load times for basic calls back and forth were also 250+ms - so methinks they're having issues technically.

i reboot when this happens and it fixes the problem.. might just be coincidental though..
