Well... your short attention span aside...

Do you think taking some extasy might have to do with that?

Now, I am faaaaar way from being anti-drugs, but E definitely will not help you attention-wise.

Hmmm... on a more serious note.

ADS can often be alleviated. That is, people can learn to live and cope with it.

One is the medicines.

Other factors include:

Nourishment - diet, for short. There have been good results with a change of diet. Especially kids with ADS have been found to have too much caffeine and sugars in their diet.

Therapy and/or Training - Although it is harder for ADS Sufferers, attention span can be trained.

Thanks, great ideas everyone. This is actually very helpful. From now on I am going to take 5-10 minutes and make a list each morning, and then check it throughout the day.

I think being a newbie making a list is a bit different because I still don't know what I'm doing. It will be like read x,y,z and try to install wordpress on your crappy powweb account. Also, I have no idea how much time certain things take. But these are not big issues, the point is, I will just make a list every morning.

I agree, I think the more realistic it is the better, it should be a list of things I can concivieably finish or almost finish by the end of the day unless something I think will take a few minutes actually takes a few hours or something...

It doesn't have to be anything you can finish, just write down whatever ideas you can. I don't think most people are able to start many of their ideas and projects. I know I have several projects I've planned on starting, bought databases, templates, etc.. and haven't gotten around to it. I don't think any serious project you'll get done in one day, they all require work and learning as you go. Just write down whatever you can, and take notes, since some day you might be out of ideas and you'll have notes to go back and refer to.

If you're really really new, and don't know how you're planning on starting. Just keep reading first until you can get a grasp as to what's going on. Also mentioned was to check out Webmaster Forum - Internet Marketing & Search Engine Forums There are a ton of noobs there in the same place as you. You haven't mentioned what you want to start with, ppc campaigns, blogs, etc.. Once you get started with that, then you can make more specific posts about, what you want to do and what you're unsure of. That's what this board is for, is to explain what x,y,z is, but first you have to have a project to work on.

Your goals to start with should be, which method do I want to use to make money with, as suggested in another response above. Then start searching for threads on those topics, most likely any noob questions have been answered. When you actually start on the project and get stuck then start asking questions.

If you keep reading this thread and responding to it, you're not being productive (just as I'm not). Nobody can say much else except to just start doing something. Start thinking of niches you can get into, that's how I first started and started making money was constantly thinking of niches where there isn't much competition (since I'm new), but is still a profitable niche.

Have you signed up with any affiliate networks? azoogle, copeac, neverblueads, etc..? Open accounts with them, speak to your affiliate manager and find an offer to try and promote.

Open a Google or Yahoo Search Marketing Account:

Here's a voucher for Yahoo for a $100

Pay Per Click Ads from Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture)

This should get you started.

I have a big problem with focus, too.

One thing that really helped me was organizing my hard drive. I used to just have graphics and text files and databases all over the place. But then I sat down and figured out a good hierarchy for everything, and now I spend a lot less time looking for shit. That includes my Start menu, and my Desktop icons. My Desktop is just a clearing area now. It's like an "In" box. Everything I download goes there, or directly to where it needs to go.

Another thing that really helped me was to take everything I knew about the processes involved in making a site and promoting it, and put it in an outline. I got EverNote (the free version rocks, the pro features are worthless to me) and organized all my little notes that I had spread all over the place in notebooks and in txt files.

I organized my bookmarks in Firefox so that everything is in convenient hierarchies that make sense for the task I'm doing. Design, Domains, Programming, Affiliates, Statistics, etc.

Prioritize your projects. You may have a thousand ideas, but if you try to do them all, you won't get any done. Pick 2 or 3 at most. If you get bored or stuck on one, shift to another. I have to; I stop making progress on something and have to switch gears.

Also, if you have a full time real job besides this, you need SOME play time. You can't just do one job and then another job and sleep. You'll go insane.

My days of going to strips clubs stopped when she asked why do you have glitter on your face? See you later strip clubs

Yep, got that one two weeks ago. Bitches. But I guess the hickey didn't help either.

Hmm...how do I aff market vanilla body spray and cocoa butter lotion to strippers...

Why would you direct this guy to digital point ubaidabcd? If he spend equal amounts of time on either forum, here or there, he would learn far more here.

I just wanted to give him another option, I learned much more from being here, than DP. He's already here on this site, so I would think it would be common sense that he should already be reading up on this forum. I think there are more noobs on there than here so he could probably relate to some of the same questions. It was just a suggestion.

Write down your ideas. I used to have BILLIONS and pretty good ones at that, but I was too inexperienced or didn't have enough money to hire out. Now I've been in and out of burnout through and through and I finally have the funds to spend on projects and I wish I would have made that list of ideas I had. It's hard to maintain that enthusiasm you first have when you start out. You also can't really keep up with your enthusiasm and energy, so you might as well funnel it into something that can benefit you in the long term.

lately i have been emailing myself ideas as I come across them. This is just so I can keep them filed for later. this will probably taper off once the overload of information tapers off as well. sure a text doc would work, but there's something about hitting send and then receiving it, reading it, and then having it stick. to each their own!

Have you tried "Evernote" it keeps all your notes organized. I take notes for every single thing, ideas, things to do, campaigns to start, tutorials, website ideas, etc.. etc.. I used to use .txt documents but Evernote makes everything organized into one program. It's also free to use.
