For those who need something serious - like socks proxies - they are about 500-700$ up per month. Well, you can do almost anything through them.
free HTTP proxies are posted almost everywhere, it is just a question of downloading, updating lists and checking them at your own requirements. You want only anon. or even so called "eite" proxies ? Just click the option and you'll get one.
The whole script is $50, runs on almost any VDS/VPS, can bring loads of fresh IPs every hour, upload to your ftp, send to your mail, post it to the "money site" - wherever

micfire, I'm still confident that the issue is with the way you validate proxies and not my list. I have a possible idea why- if you're loading Google.com, it will frequently redirect to another google TLD for example google.co.uk based on the proxy's location. If you're testing by looking for a particular text that is on google.com, you may not find it on a Google in another language, and mark the proxy as dead when it is in fact alive. Also, if you don't have curl set to follow redirects, your tests will obviously fail.

If you like, you can PM me your proxy testing code and I can try it/take a look. I stand by the quality of my proxy service, and I take complaints very seriously.
Shit that's actually true. I need to check which phrase it checks. I have been using that proxy test function for ages but I just realized that it was first build for this US only list so there might be issues with phrase matching.

I'll look into it tonight and report back.

There's probably an issue with your checking, there should be hundreds of working proxies. To prove the quality of the list, here's a random sample of 50 proxies from the list. ProxyNexus subscribers get such a list every hour. I can guarantee that, right now there are more than 7 working proxies in that list.

Anyone who knows what they're doing want to test this list? Or just plug into a proxychecker like Charon and see for yourself.

http://slashdot.org/ok.txt
Slashdot uses it to check and see if it's visitors are using proxies. So high bandwidth, fast as hell, reliable. Seems like a win to me ;)

I plugged the list into my google scraper, 23 out of 50 worked and I have a 5% error rate (censored, banned, captcha etc) which is about normal when using public proxies. Your list is good though, as of this post i've done 100 queries and have 23,000 urls so far, better than average for public proxies.
