Need Legal Help - Revenge Site

I know I'm going to get flamed super hard for this because I have a low post count, but oh well.

Anyways I have a bunch of people coming after me for "Emotional Distress", "Defamatory", and other Tort laws I assume.

I run a revenge social media type site, which is growing at an exceptional rate. Basically what happens is lets say you have nude pictures of your Ex girlfriend and you guys have gone sour.

Well you then come to my site and fill out a submit form a long with their name, location, facebook url, and agree they are 18+ yadada.

I then go ahead and post those pictures along with there facebook screenshot, location, name and usually a funny meme to follow it.

I understand my site is protected under Communications Act Section 230, but I feel as if my only defense that would stand in court is "Everything is User-Submitted Content" - I've had cops show up to my house threatening me with lawsuits and charges, and I obviously have hundreds of people emailing me daily begging me to take down there photos, then the obvious "If you dont take them down ill sue you".

I am definitely in over my head with this whole thing, I understand this. Please don't just tell me to shut the site down.

I need help in the aspect of what kind of lawyer should I consult? Or what should I do? What should I stay away from etc?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I would post the url to my site, but I feel like I would get in trouble here on WF lol. That's the last thing I need.

I think that they can sue you if you don't remove the pictures after the person is able to prove that she is in the picture and has asked for you to remove it.

Yes, user submitted photos of other people without their conscent. There's a huge difference there, and just for the sole reason of moderating the material and including their full names can screwed someone' life forever, affecting their families as well...your not sharing a movie bud, you're destroying a person' life and that's a crime.

That being said, yes, its pretty stupid take nude pics of yourself.

Besides the fact that the taking and sending of nude photos is stupid (Which has already been established), he has set the site up with the sole intention of embarrassing people's poor choices. It's not as if it's just an image hosting website that happened to have these sensitive personal pictures hosted and distributed on it.

He is an enabler who is trying to exploit people for personal gain, which makes him a low life scumbag in my book. People blaming the girls/boys for sending nude pictures are missing the point.

Edit: Geez, I feel like I've just commented on a Daily Mail article or something.

It is really nothing impressive or special. It does not prove you have any kind of technological or social savvy. You don't even have enough traffic to make it worth the tremendous hassle. The site really is not even worth talking about. That dude Hunter Moore atleast had an original idea and was a highly motivated self promoter cashing in on his infamy with real life appearances. I would take the site down immediately, and just chalk it up to experience. There are a lot better ways to make money online. In a few years I can guarantee you will look back embarrassed and wonder how you were so foolish.

I did dumb shit online when I was your age too. I did stuff a lot worse than what you are doing, trust me. I now view it as part of my development process, and I am glad the consequences weren't as severe as they could have been.

Now on to your decision to post this on wickedfire.
You made a very big mistake posting this here. Lately there has been a trend of outing and destroying members that upset or offend the community in some way.
There are a lot of very dangerous and capable men on here that can really cause a problem for you. There is literally a chance that this thread can lead to the demise of comfortable life as you know it.
I'm going to give you a piece of advice. You need to do something BIG to get yourself out of this mess with wickedfire.

Here are some suggestions:
-A donation to charity.
-An expose on your local news where you confess to your sins and become a born again christian.
-Acceptance of a public flogging.

But seriously the only way you're going to get us off your back will be to re-appropriate the site to just feature an embedded public apology video.

I agreed at first, but it's not really a case of shooting the messenger. Yes, the person who submitted the pictures is a dirt bag and the girls / guys who took the pics of themselves are stupid, but should they really have their lives ruined because of a stupid mistake? However, I don't think having him arrested and thrown in jail is right either. He deserves to have the shit beat out of him by ever party harmed and the same goes for the assholes that posted the pictures.

He is providing a platform with the sole purpose of harming people for their entire existence. This stuff doesn't go away ever even if the site is down. He has caused unrepairable harm to these people and is actually more guilty than the people posting the pictures. The platform he provided shows what kind of sick and depraved person he is. This is actually costing people an education and job opportunities that they would otherwise have gotten if it wasn't for his site.

Doing something like this for fun or "for the lulz" has to be some sort of mental disorder. This is the kind of shit the guy who roofies girls and then rapes them does. A normal man / woman wouldn't even consider this.

Do something worthwhile. And if it's going to be sleezy, fuck everyone's moral high horses. Just make bank.

For someone that's OK if one of his "victims" commits suicide, since it will increase exposure, then I'm sure he's ok with people ranking this thread if it'll add to his notoriety.

Since he posted a link to his site on the first page of this thread I would think he'd expect ranking benefits for his own site, too.

You guys have seriously unraveled everything I have ever done.
I give you props, lol really give you props.

My first reaction would be initially embarrassed but at this point,
embarrassment is the last thing i'm worried about so I guess keep picking
me apart.

I'm honestly surprised i'm not banned yet to tell you the truth.

But as I aforementioned in a previous post, I appreciate the ones who
have given me actual insight on what to do.

I know I didnt use a private whois or whatever, but this is seriously
my first go around with a growing growing website, so yes it is exciting
for me and I want more of it.

As much as I don't want to shut it down, I think you guys are right.

Granted i'm only 20 years old, with probably $400 to my name to last
me for the next 3-4 months, I think I can find other ways to bring in cash.

All I saw with this website was $$$, nothing else.
I knew I had a ton of nude photo's and so did my friends so I figured
I would take the road and see where it went. Although it has been fun, and
been a crazy learning experience, I need to apply this somewhat knowledge
I have elsewhere.
