need domain buying advice

I've had my eye on a LLLL.com for a few days. I really want to buy it but I'm getting no response from the owner. They are using the domain for some non profit community bullshit, they aren't responding and I don't think they are interested.

Anyway I found the .net version on sale on SEDO for about $2k. I'm deciding if I should go for it or not. Any domainers got advice? I've got 100+ domains and I usually never buy anything other than .com but this shit is really brandable. Would you pay $2k for a LLLL.net? Is it worth it? Am I a retard for asking?
