hi

I have some questions regarding the anchor text of backlinks:

1. If I want my money site to rank for multiple keywords and build 2 backlinks on the same page (article, profile, whatevs) with the same URL pointing to my money site but with different anchor text, does google count them both? And do I get the benefits of both anchor texts?
example:
Link1: anchor: "best laptop ever" URL: www.mysite.com/laptopmoneysite/
Link2: anchor: "laptop report" URL: www.mysite.com/laptopmoneysite/

2. If I want to rank for a very long keyword like "Samsung Gaming Laptop 700X" would you rather just build links with this exact keyword or would you also build links with keywords like "samsung gaming", "samsung laptop 700x", etc (so that the anchor text varies).

help is very appreciated

sure they both get counted, they are both separate links to your site. If you want to rank for "samsung gaming laptop 700x" that is what your anchor text should be. You could build links with the anchor text "samsung gaming", but that is an different keyword - it wouldn't be as focused.

Eh, I remember a whole heap of people doing testing in regards to your first question and by the sounds of it none of them really knew what was going on. My tests have shown that link2 will count but link1's anchor text is more important than link2. That being said, if you have the chance to drop two links on one page - why not just target two different URLs on your own site?

What I generally do is target a long tail, in this case samsung gaming laptop 700x and then target a main keyword (let's say your site is about gaming laptops, in which case I would link to Website Hosting - Mysite.com with the anchor "gaming laptops").

In regards to question two, I'd build the majority of the links with the exact anchor text but also try to vary it a little. So just doing stuff like "click here" and www.mysite.com/samsunggalaxy as anchors makes it look more natural as lots of idiots on the web link like that. If you have anchor text that is way to laser focused then it throws up a red flag to google and your links get discounted.
