My 3 year old threw a tantrum and broke my iphone glass



Same thing happened to my daughter - some kid shattered her glass at school. She took it to Apple and they just gave her a new phone. Just send your wife to the store with some sob-story - they'll probably do the same for her.

iPhone is not the most durable device, you can get broken it so easy

But screen costs around 100$ on amazon, ebay and others

get the invisible shield...don't even notice it on there and it protects the phone more than most cases...

Where can I get a new glass? It's the iphone4 so my understanding is the glass and LCD are fused together at the factory ( to make it more thin ). And it's not a cheap fix. I haven't found anything under $100.

Any secret corners of the web selling these for cheap?

Don't take it to the Apple people, it takes time and money. Take it to your nearest iphone repair shop. My uncle owns one and they can do it for like a third of the cost of Apple and in 24 hours. Sometimes right in front of you if they're not backed up. Although they are usually slammed.

BTw anyone want a booming businesses idea? smart phone repair shops ftw.

well the fucking irony is that i've been importing sick cases from china and selling them lately. this one time i happened to not have the case on it.

maybe i'll wear a linux shirt with a big penguin on the front, and go find the fattest guy with the thickest glasses working there :)

how much will you / your uncle sell me the glass cover for an iphone4?

i went to one of those places in the mall and they wanted $110.

the glass is fused to the lcd on the 4.

the 3g the glass is cheap because its independent of other components and can easily be replaced.
 
It's 200 plus tax at the apple store.... Your better off going there and getting a replacement at least you know it will work and it your warranty is intact and they swap out the phone right there and then.
