Back in November I gave Miva a try.

On Yahoo and Google I was finding my traffic was worth $1.63 a click.

So I thought I would be safe and try out Miva at 25 cents.

I set up the campaign and go to bed.

The next day I see Miva burned through all $100. They delivered more clicks to my website than Google and Yahoo together. So I take a look at sales... no noticeable impact on sales... it looks like 400 clicks cost me $100 and delivered Zero sales...

I bitch and bitch, Miva gives me $75 credit.

I forgot about Miva for 6 months. After hearing Jon uses them, I try it again...

This time at 15 cents a clicks. Same damn thing happens!

So... how the hell do you monitize Miva traffic?

He doesn't use miva traffic to drive sales or leads, he uses it to drive the traffic to other, higher paying ads. At least thats what I got out of his posts

Woah that's scary because I just signed up with them. Albeit there is only $25 dollars in the balance. At least they gave you a refund the first time.

Are you sure something isn't wrong with your site? Just last night I had a code issue that I overlooked and I probably lost a few clicks, but I caught it early.

EDIT:::
Yeah, what skyndave said. I am doing arbitrage too, not pushing affiliate leads.

I have no idea how to make Miva traffic work. Miva barely even works for me with arbitrage. Using the same ad text & paying for the same rank, where other networks succeed, Miva unfortunately just seems to constantly fail. The traffic just seems to be complete crap. Shame because I do like their user interface.

I've only used it for pure PPC arbitrage and I've done well with that.

I actually hate the interface though.

Wow you guys are insanely fast!

Yeah, I am sure - nothing wrong with the site. It generated sales from MSN, Google, and Yahoo during both time periods.

Miva delivered more clicks at 1/10 the cpc. But those clicks appear to be worth ZERO... it's crazy.

------------

I also have complaints about the controls. You make a change and it takes ages to show up. I deleted the account before I went to bed this time. The account burned through the 75 bucks and then deleted!

Miva is giving me another credit...

What do I do with it? It appears worthless... or worseless as we like to say here at Wickedfire.

BTW...

Getting that first credit based on 'click fraud' was a fucking nightmare. I spent a great deal of time on the phone complaining and escalating the complaint.

So... be very careful with Miva. Test very low CPC, test very low budgets... Or just stay away from them.

Miva scares the crap outta me...

Really? What don't you like about it? Seems so simple to use to me. I definitely prefer it to searchfeed and Yahoo.

Oh and I'm wondering if cernatin industries work better through Miva than others. This is definitely the case with Yahoo compared to Adwords in my experience.

You guys keep referring to "Miva Traffic." There is no such thing. Did you know that Miva had to eliminate its partners with its biggest content syndicators because they were deliberately committing click fraud on a massive scale. Additionally, they were spamming their content across the net. A horrible company that just wont go away because of its European operations. I would like to pay a visit to its FL office and see what really goes on there. I would estimate that 3-10 people actually work there. Not the large number Yahoo Finance suggests. Stay away from Miva, you will get burned.

I had registered with them and deposited my $25, but before I set up a campaign I got second thoughts and sent a cancellation email, and my account was promptly deleted and my $25 refunded.

I find it slow and bulky, and I found the campaign interface confusing and less responsive than I would like it to be.

I've never advertised with searchfeed or Yahoo but I've used AdWords and MSN adCenter and like both of them better.

It's not as good as Adwords I have to say. I don't like the way that ads don't have to be connected to a campaign in Miva. It's easy to get lose ends if you run a lot of ads and you're not too organised (like me :)) heh

If the clicks are a tonne cheaper than other PPC engines, my guess is most of you guys are doing OK with PPC arbitrage then?

Also MSN Adcenter interface blows too.
