That really is a shitty situation for him, after months of working on a project someone decides to put it on the internet and give it away for free...

Kinda getting what he deserves...for years he has put out products that are deceitful and just funny that someone he trusted with the film deceived him. What goes around always comes around.

Screw Michael Moore and his massive shareholder stake in Halliburton and his propagandist movies. I'm all for free speech and I love the fact that he's able to spew this bullshit, because I spew enough bullshit of my own to offset it. It's just a shame that we all get lumped in with the rest of the idiots in this generation who gobble up his nonsense wholesale and make it possible for Mr. working man's hero to send his kids to private schools and live in the upper echelon of bourgeois society. He's just another ebook salesman and his consumers are just more zombie fish.

I'm impressed at the success and fame he's generated by producing political documentaries. He's a master marketer and anyone with a business or product to sell should examine his techniques.

His movies may be full of propaganda and inaccuracies, but they are entertaining. Generally when I watch them, I get a different message than the one he's pushing.

I thought Bowling for Columbine was a great argument against gun control. Moore pointed out that Canada with just as many guns doesn't have our violent crime. The problem isn't in the number of guns per person or in their availability. They have a similar culture to ours and live right next to us - what is the difference?

The timing of Sicko couldn't be worse. This could definitely give socialized medicine a big popularity boost. If a dem takes the White House we could all be screwed by big gov't medicine.

It just doesn't make sense to me.. no one likes monopolies...no one wants government cars... government airplanes... government computers... why the hell do we think government medicine is going to be different? Christ... look what government is doing to schools - we are the wealthiest country in the world and our k-12 education is barely equal to Eastern European countries. Our movie theaters, grocery stores, shopping centers, houses, buildings, web sites, hell - even our cars aren't bad considering they are strangled by unions ---> why doesn't everyone think free market is a better way to go?

Dump the FDA... Demand transparent pricing ... Loser Pays Lawsuits ... and get Gov't regulations out of medicine.

Universal healthcare isn't that bad. When I was 12 I got my finger crushed in a door, I was in and out of the hospital over night and it didn't cost me a cent. They even gave me a Christmas present since it was the holidays.

Please tell me that you are joking...

I was in the UK for 3 months and got pretty damn sick and they treated me for free and meds were way cheaper than the USA. In the USA all I can afford is insurance that protects against a emergency room trip and I'm pretty sure I'd have to sue insurance to get them to cover that.

About 6 months ago, my brother got amoebas in his eye from his contact rubbing his eye and causing slight abrasions that let it in, total crazy situation that is very rare. It basically was eating his eye and in order to treat it they combine steroids and harsh chemicals that kill the amoebas and also cause blindness because the chemicals are so harsh. Basically they try to kill the amoebas before the harsh chemicals cause permanent harm/blindness. So this is a time sensitive issues esp since if you don't kill the amoebas they can kill the eye as well. My brother has full coverage through blue cross or whatever and under a fortune 500 company through my stepdad. The insurance company dragged their feet every turn and my parents ended up having to pay for the medicine for this treatment themselves which was like $200 a bottle which lasted about 3 days and they are still refusing to pay for it, they also refused to let him see a specialist on the amoeba which my parents had to food the bill. Basically you have to sue to get insurance companies to take any responsibility.

Its not really a rich issue, its a as a society should we provide health care to those who need it or rely on the free market who operate for profit. I love the free market but when it comes to health I think universal coverage via the government is the best option. Based on exp.

Health care shouldn't be about making a profit, it should be about keeping people healthy and fixing problems.

Comparing free government medicine to US healthcare is NOT comparing socialist medicine to free market medicine.

US healthcare is crippled by regulation, lawsuits, and deceptive practices.

If you want bigger boobs or bigger lips, then you'll experience something much closer to free market medicine.

Hospitals won't tell you prices before you use their services -- that should be illegal. Pricing should be transparent, all should have a 'menu' of the common services and show pricing up front. This would allow for the market to choose the best.
