The thing is, is that his music made people happy, good memories, and they really liked it...they liked him cause of how great his music was...they hear his song it brings back memories for them, they go out and dance, party, etc...
Most americans/world don't know shit about iran and how their government is ran so they cannot relate to it, and it has no meaning to them...probably about 80% of americans couldn't tell you the difference between the two...kinda fucked up...but at the same time most people have no reason to keep an interest in stuff like that...It's kinda depressing that people will choose to watch rock of love instead of finding out what is going on in the world...but it's how it is...Until we are really "at war" no one will care...most people do not care that there is a war going on...the only reason they might care is because it is putting the country into so much debt...
When you've got hundreds of millions making things go away can be far easier than being dragged through the courts for years. Have you read about the accusations? Or just the hearsay and rumors from other people? The story reads like a crazy frame up by a money grubbing father and a well coached child. However, the kid's own mother didn't think Jackson had done anything wrong. He was a mess at the time and everyone was telling him to settle out of court. He took their advice.
