I've always wondered this but where do you guys get your medical insurance?

For me, a medical insurance is a must because I had liver transplant 6 years ago, and I will have to take anti-rejection medicine for the rest of my life. If I didn't have an insurance, my medicine bill be over 3k every 2 months which would really suck.

Which company are you with? Or do you not have an insurance at all?

When I make the jump to self-employment I plan on hopping on my wife's plan. There have got to be companies that cater to the self-employed though. Try checking here

I have this insurance with a $10,000 deductible, the price is low enough that I don't even really care what it is.

If you're healthy you might want to look into HSA compatible plans... usually they have low premiums, high deductibles but when you're young and healthy (or even in other cases) they can be a good idea.

As for companies to go with it really depends on your area but BC/BS are big in most/all states I think. I only know the market in CA.
