I leave for college in less than a month and I seriously need some money [text books]. Need to earn at least $300. I started one of those Myspace profile editing sites to try to earn a few quick bucks. I don't need anything long term, just something to earn $300. However, that market is so saturated that i'm making just pennies. The site is ww.profilezen.com if you want to check it out and give me opinions.

So, I know this is a wierd question, but do you have any ideas that could make me a quick buck - doesnt matter if it's a one time non-lasting thing.

I can't get hired any where since i wouldnt even be working for a month.

Dude, I'm basically in the same situation you are. Damn college expenses!
Your best bet for a quick buck is eBay my friend. Find something cheap/good to buy, then sell it. You might even find something(s) around your own house.

eBay will usually be fairly quick but you gotta get your ratings up before people will trust buying expensive stuff from you.

you should go apply for a job at mcdonalds and tell them you're interested in growing with the company
dont tell them you're leaving in a month
make your $300 and then tell the manager the job isnt for you

Didn't like it? I talked to Dan, when he signed the contract, he thought he was writing them a $20 book!

For $300, I would look at doing misc jobs like directory submission, building myspace profiles, etc. Too bad its just for textbook money!

I can code, and make decent designs.

Anybody interested in buying Sitepoint's Search Engine Marketing Kit from me?

If you have some money to invest... Buy a few domains and turnkey scripts, skin them, then sell them on for $100 or so [depending on how much the script cost] each.

Here is an article by Jon Waraas that is good guide for doing just that. :xmas-smiley-022::fart:

Where do you live?

you could always spam the hell out of myspace, tagworld, blogs etc with freebee offers that pay you a few bucks.

I live in VA.

Thanks for that link, definately going to look into it.

As for the SP SEM book, I have it, read it, done with it. Not a bad book. I'll sell it for half the price, $100.

Ok, well, you've got jack for friends to comment on - and if you want MySpace traffic, you have to promote on MySpace to get the viral thing going.

Get more friends, comment them daily. Funny pics - people love the funny pics and will pick them up to put on *their* friends pages.

No one reads bulletins anymore - don't bother. Sersiosly - get more friends and comment them. If you do it every day, your traffic WILL grow.
