MaxBounty Turning Into Pace Lattin

Does an unsubscribe button take that much work to implement? Never assume 100% of your customers are going to like something, because it's never like that.

I think we all get annoying emails from all the networks. Not much to get worked up over IMO, but WF loves drama I guess. You could have sent an email to your AM to asking him to take you off that list in the amount of time it took you to make a WF post about it... Just sayin'...

Just pay me on time every time and you can spam me with your crap all day.

Good sweet fuck.

We have a contest where we try to pick some kind of fun prize to give away to a random affiliate and we e-mail about it, thinking some of our affiliates might get a kick out of the prize we've chosen. Funny enough, most of our affiliates like it, but there's always a few people who'll bitch about anything. Just goes to show you can't make everyone happy.

Don't want the e-mails, just ask your AM to turn them off in your account.

Now go back and enjoy your penis enlargement spam. Maybe you can complain enough to the Russians and Chinese and they'll stop e-mailing you too.

Never get a job as a community manager you're a huge dick.

Would be more interesting if you sent 10 to 100000 smaller prizes every day so I could check if my name was on there and I won a free pen.

OR say hey we love all you affiliates and we're sending you a dildo shaped pen and if you don't like it you can literally go fuck yourself.

Instead I get to read about bacon flavored toilet paper going to joe fuckface in qitar.

Plus you could just be choosing affiliates you guys like instead of at random. The whole thing reeks of shit.

lol @ bacon strips. I would be curious to see a picture of the person who won it. lol I dunno why but I find that quite hilarious. Who gives someone such lame "prizes". Bacon flavored toilet paper? WTF. Maybe its a fetish for bacon. Porkers. Couldn't resist.

saying stuff like Paul from Wisconsin won bacon strips or some shit...

fuck u guise that shit is news

i would love me some bacon strips right now

Google does a fine job of filtering out the Russian dick pill spam. I have never hit the report spam button on any of your emails cause I feel like that would be a dick move and possibly hurt you guys. But the constant barrage of emails sucks ass. I never read any of them. My blackberry blinks a few times a day because of your emails and I can't even remember the last time I ran traffic with you (if at all).

As others mentioned, it is unreasonable to expect your affiliates to have to contact their AM to be removed from the list. An unsubscribe feature seems like the logical solution.

To be fair, this is one of the few networks I used my primary email with (no idea why) when signing up. So I probably do get truck loads of spam from other networks that I just never notice.

Thanks for confirming my decision to never do business with y'all :) Are all the other employees assholes too?

Plus, what year is it buddy? Add a little checkbox to unsubscribe from those e-mails, why waste somebody's time having to answer a phone call for something so simple?

CAN SPAM act etc..

generally speaking, its too bad the unsubscribe button on most emails is BS.

I dont know how many times I have clicked unsubscribe on an email, change my email settings on their site etc.. and the next day get 1 or 2 emails from them with the same garbage.

There was one thing an AM did at Maxbounty that irked me. He called me three times on Memorial Day... Here I am at a BBQ and my phone is being blown up by a guy that just wants me to drive traffic to him.

Not trying to nitpick, just keeping mind that we have our own holidays in America.

Yeah, CAN CPAM does not appy to Canada. But regardless, I receive the emails as well. I can't say I really care for them but it really doesn't bother me. As stated previously, we all receive a bunch of emails from networks daily. My phone starts blinking consistently from about 8am on. It's whatever.

Don't the feds require all bullshit emails like this to have an unsubscribe link in them?

LOL @ all the peeps gettin all butthurt over Steve's comment... I thought it said it all, and was in the finest WF tradition.

Oh, wait: are there several different standards at play here?

It's OK for us to be dicks to each other (usually in fun) but AM's and Network reps are supposed to be all "Oh, you guyz are sooo great, you're totally right, I'm sorry we offended your tender sensibilities by sending you mail with no unsub link, but you could hit delete faster and we thought we could mail you since you signed up to the network and ostensibly want to stay in the loop, we didn't knoooow, we're sooooory, pleeze don't hate us, here, have some baaaaacon..."

Like I said...LOL.

No this is a retarded idea. Who knows what email you're not going to get. Oops I turned off bacon spam so I didn't get the email that my offer capped and is redirecting to fucking emoticons.

Good point but there are people that don't want emails, period.

What I'm getting from this thread is that people don't mind getting emailed, as long as the content is relevent. There's definitely something to be learned here by MaxBounty. Maybe a newsletter that includes relevant information + fun stuff like contests would be a better approach.

You made me chuckle today. Despite being a Bears fan I'm going +rep you.
