Sean Hogan eventually served jail time following a grand jury after what was initially a civil matter. It wasn't a long sentence and probably under minimum security, but jail nonetheless.

LOLOL here's what happens when a judge finds one of these nutters incompetent to be pro se and requires a public defender:

Ah, nothing like being labeled guilty by a whole forum without even seeing the case through first. I've never screwed a single person in this industry and have always offered my help, but the moment allegations arise against me, everyone flips on me.

For those of you that are hoping to see me crash and burn. That will not happen. This case will come to a close within the next 4-6 weeks. I won't be going to the slammer. I will be exiting this industry completely, and I'll persevere elsewhere.

What do we win?

I think Martin should play it safe and just stick to forging bank documents and impersonating advertising companies. Apparently that doesn't generate any interest from law enforcement and all you have to worry about is some civil lawsuit that you can easily side step with a few sympathetic relatives and/or friends.

If Grunin doesn't get charged criminally then it doesn't matter in the end. He'll walk and will be trading with his relative's bank accounts. That's considered #winning as far as Grunin is concerned.

Best he can do is find some rich dumb slav to impregnate. The guy has no other options. I can fathom the delusion of a guy sitting there and committing wire fraud... assuming that they wouldn't nail his ass to the wall.

A criminal conviction wouldn't enforce the civil action. He'd do 6-9 months of time as someone's wifey. He may even enjoy it.

It won't, but sends a much stronger message to would be con artists who want to copy Martin's idea. Civil judgments don't scare certain types of people. Martin probably isn't too worried either since he's never going to be a square with a 9 to 5 which pays him a wage that could be easily garnished. He's always going to be doing shifty shit, and why not do it under a relative's name instead so that the money can't be garnished? Of course this all assumes that Martin can figure out a new income source, and there's no guarantee that he can pull that off since he isn't very bright.

Martin probably would be ok with being someone's wife if it came with some perks.

More likely his attorney saw it and asked WTF!!!

Or perhaps he noticed that it is not that smart to prank public with money, making money and that all when someone prepares to throw a court powered bill about some $100k to you.

But in that assumption we have the word "smart" and when we learned one thing in this thread then the fact that "smart" did not fits very well.

But perhaps he is like...
