The US is based on the concept of collective sovereignty of all US citizens rather than having one reigning sovereign like the Queen of England. By voting in a US election, the citizens of the US are expressing their collective sovereignty in electing their representatives.

Also you can setup a strawman in the sense that you can form a corporation which acts as a separate legal person from you, follow corporate formalities to protect your corporate veil from being pierced, and enjoy limited liability protections. Limited liability protections can't protect you from criminal prosecution if there is overwhelming evidence that you committed criminal acts as the controlling shareholder. But there are many cases where a properly formed corporation can protect you as an individual from civil lawsuits filed against your corporate entity and vice versa.

However what the idiot gurus are hawking is pseudo legal nonsense and it will not fly with any judge as a valid form of legal defense. Martin is an idiot and his defense will not work. He also doesn't have any form of incorporated entity. Your birth certificate is not for a corporation. Corporations have charters, not birth certificates.

Martin Grunin needs to pray that the Judge has a mini stroke or some kind of sudden cognitive problem that somehow compels the Judge to swallow the load of shit that Grunin is selling and then rule in The Grunin's favor.

However even in that best case scenario, Facebook will have the opportunity to appeal at a higher court. Grunin's best shot at this would be if the Supreme Court went full retard and dismissed the lawsuit against MARTIN GRUNIN while tacitly approving Martin: Grunin's full sovereign status.
 
As the saying goes, I don't have a dog in this race since I'm not friends with the guy, but he's never fucked me over on anything directly, so I don't have any reason to hate his guts either.

With that having been said, do people really do shit like this and think that they will get away with it? I'm appalled.
