I really don't understand why everyone is jumping at the chance to buy a laptop that will be dead in two years... forcing you to send it off for something as simple as a battery replacement. I remember when I sent my ipod off... it was gone for a month.
Enjoy transferring everything from the MacBook Air over to a real laptop for a few weeks while the battery gets replaced.
Oh... and from what I hear you can't upgrade the RAM either... and that Ethernet cable you need to use... oh, well there's no jack on the Air for it, sorry. If you want a real laptop (thin too), get a Sony Vaio... if you want something different, get an EEEPC... if you want a $3,000 headache, get a MacBook Air.
Apple could take a giant dump in a box, paint it white, and people would pay any price Apple set for it.
