Macbook Air 13" or Macbook Pro 13"

So you'd rather tune your 92' Honda Civic than taking the stock McLaren F1 :stonedsmilie:
I don't understand what you don't get?

buying an apple = buying the mclaren f1 at full price, and using it on a track once a month

buying anything else and just putting linux on it yourself = buying a mclaren f1 for 1% of the cost, driving it around in the streets, learning mechanical skills

etc etc

I'm a race driver, do you think I have the time to get my hands dirty with grunt work?

Time > money.

I have both. I use the Air a lot more. If you don't do actual work, the air is perfect for keeping your minions on task while you are at the beach.

My HP crapped out on me two weekends ago right before a business trip. I popped into the Apple store and grabbed a MBA 13"

The battery life is undeniably awesome. 15 Hours or so.

Get the Macbook Air 13" with upgraded hard drive and ram, don't get the processor upgrade since it isn't worth it and will cause your battery life to go down. Also order from the Apple education pricing site, you'll save $200+ with those upgrades. Good luck bros.

you're a fucking idiot. you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

I've had my main macbook pro 17" for about 4 years. I use it probably 15-20 hours a day. It is a fucking soldier and I can do anything faster and better than you.

But it's not quite "apt" :eatmousepointer:

inb4 someone points out you can get 9 cheap plasticky shitty noisy pc laptops for the same price.

I'd go with the 13" retina. If it wasn't for the fact my late 2011 MBP was still like new, and shows no signs of missing a beat, I'd love one.

You should definitely buy it now I get 14 hours with low brightness. It has 700/700 write speeds and is 3.5 pounds. Best computer I have owned. Its great for travel also.
