PC - PC r the shit cuz its like customizable and all that. u can has like linux, windows, or whatever on it. u either like pcs like me or ur a faggot mac fanboy

Mac - i luv macs becuzz they look all sleek and i paid a ton more money for the same hardware. don't let the corporations behinds pcs pull u into their efforts to destroy teh internet

mac, but wait until january when the new MBPs are announced

dude i fucking hate that shit lol. i was waiting last year and then i got the 1 before the new one when they announced that the unibody was going to come out in nov or w/e.

anyways if you want a reliable computer with best customer service get mac. you can dualboot or just have a vm for windows and unix... they are also pretty fast. if you have any problems like keys sticking or speaker goes out for some reason just take it to apple and they will fix it asap. happened to me like 3 times lol.

like 75%~ of imers use windows though

This topic pops up every other week. The general consensus is as follows:

  1. Get a Mac
  2. stfu fanboy build it yourself so you can masturbate to high FPS on Crysis
  3. I'm a noob faggot and can't build a PC so I say buy premade Dell FTW
  4. Mac Mac Mac
  5. Dullspace
  6. circa
  7. ???
  8. Profit!
Pick your poison...

these threads all involve a mouse argument as well, split test your computers... youll find out which one you like better

I chose profit, and with that profit, I will get a PC. Done deal.

also my experience:

My old PowerBook G4's lower ram slot went bad, and Apple tech support claimed after 4 Motherboard replacements, they had no idea what could be done. I emailed Steve Jobs himself, got a call next day from Apple's executive relations, and they replaced it with a Macbook Pro, upgraded, free, and extended the warranty. Was amazing. Only use in last resorts, though

Got a Unibody Macbook. 2.4, 4GB, 500GB. It's quick and it works. I've only been exclusively on Macs about a year. I'm no fanboy and to be fair the blind love from fanboys pisses me off.

Either way, once you get a Mac you can't go back. The shotcuts and mousepad gestures alone make using anything else afterwards slow and cumbersome. Let alone the fact everything works and the general experience is free of frustration.

I still have to use Windows through Parallels though, as some software needs Windows unfortunately! :)

I was thinking of getting a Mac pro.. ive used PC for years, have built many of them but I think I'm finally gonna switch over. All I hear is good news about them.. I used my friends mac through teamview and it really rocks.. although some things are really gonna take getting used to

get a Mac. and then get a netbook.

i hate when people say get a mac, and in the say breath tell you to dualboot it with windows. i have a mac and have no need for windows, yes i can dualboot, but why? i dont want nor need windows.

used pc since 90s
if you spend a couple months on a mac you'll "get it"
last 5 years was using both, but now just mac.
in last 5 years my pc gave me a few hours of problems.
mac, not a fucking one.
time is money.

get bootcamp or parallels if some shit needs doing on pc

dualboot windows for games and for programs that don't come for mac. IM programs in particular
