I suppose so, I just can't relate. When it's time for me to upgrade, I will go straight to that Reddit link posted in this thread and buy exactly what the fuck they say. Dats all dem niggas do.

Build your own, or find someone who will build it for you. Last computer I purchased I found on Craigslist from a guy who does custom builds as a side job. I paid 700, parts were worth ~620 from newegg
$80 commission seemed more than fair. I've had the PC for 6 months now, and I love it. It's quad core, nice monitor, and the graphics card can handle ANY game.

I don't know what you need in a computer, but $3k is most likely more than you need to spend.
 
When windows 8 comes out all of the next gen laptops and desktops will humble your set up, nearly every major manufacturer has a touch screen desktop and laptop lineup ready to go come October.

Windows 8 just came out and I don't see any humbling happening.
