I'm looking to expand into some local stuff here in my city. I'm a littler unsure of how to handle this.

I was kind of thinking setting up a Pay Per Call campaign with a specific company, and charging them for each call that is made to that line. Which both this company and I will be able to track how many calls have been made.

I guess I'm looking for a simple break down on how to get into this. I've already got people interested, so I won't be posting ads on craigslist for my services or anything like that.

I just want to get a better understanding how what are the steps in this whole process? I want to make sure I handle this in the fastest, and most profitable way. If the services I perform please the customer, I could gain some potential huge clients just from word of mouth.

Would you guys suggest something different then Pay Per Call?

And if you do this local stuff, what does your general scope of work include, and how do you present that to the customer?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, there are tons of good threads around here for the local niche. Just remember that when you go on sales calls to these businesses, that you not talk too above them. Don't mention SEO, SE1, or anything too technical. Spell it out and explain and make them understand the true value of everything that you are trying to do. I know when I started in my area, it was amazing the amount of businesses that don't even have a freakin site and most sucked anyways.

I like the Pay Per Call model because it gives them a tangible result of your marketing efforts. Just saying getting to the top of Google will be great is a good fluff statement, but when you can back it up with results, you will get more referrals and long standing business in your local community.

Good luck though. The local niches are still an untapped one, so hit it hard.
