With all the talk of Groupon vs Google Offers vs Facebook Deals, it seems like Livingsocial is an afterthought.

Check out Our Adventures : LivingSocial Adventures - they plan some pretty awesome "adventures" in your area. You get to meet new people (check out the pics on their FB page- mainly younger people) and have fun. Events usually include alcohol.

Will Livingsocial be able to carve out a niche doing this kind of stuff? I know they have a pretty big salesforce and also have regional event planners who schedule these things.

Anyone down for the Baltimore skeet shoot/whiskey tasting event? :)

There was a sweet one up here in boston. Didn't fit my schedule but it was BBQ at a great place, paintball, and then a harpoon brewery tour and extended tasting with a coach bus taking you from each place

As stated above probably sausage fests for socially awkward guys that need the Internet to meet people.

Was this on some TechCrunch Startup event a while back? I think that's where I heard of it. Looks pretty cool.

From the photos, looks like a good mix of people. Lots of women use these deal sites, especially Livingsocial, which seems to always have a ton of spa and girly deals. These are new, different things to do that involve alcohol. How often do you go skeet shooting, ziplining, or snow tubing? Couple that with whiskey tasting or a brewery tour, makes for a pretty good date with a girl you already know and want to fuck.

PS girls w/ guns = hot

On a somewhat related note, there's a sports league in Boston called BSSC (boston sports and skiing club) and I've signed up to play on independent teams when I first moved here. Best move I've made. Played dodgeball, volleyball and soccer and made a ton of great guy and girl friends that way. The concept is somewhat similar (joining a group of people you don't know for an activity) so I wouldn't doubt that there would be a good mix of people that show up for these things.
