As for stuff to do, it is pretty much like every other large north american city. There are quite a variety of good restaurants and some half-decent clubs.

Other than that, shopping, that is if you're bringing a lady-friend with you.

Bar: Barchef on Queen
Messy pickup bar: Tattoo rock parlour on Queen
Food n drinks: Spiceroute like Moldingbox said, and Brant house club is right over the road for after
Good restaurants: Biff's or Jump
Hangover cure breakfast: Sunset grill in Bloor west village
Trip up the CN tower probably worth it, restaurant up there not that great though.

Lots of good places to eat, drink & hang out here, on King and Queen streets.
