I recently bought a website/domain from an individual in Nevada (Henderson). The seller only partially completed his part of the deal and is not responsive or willing to complete his side of the deal.

So, I am considering legal action against that person. Anyone here familiar with stuff like that? Can I file a claim in the small claims court from a different US state against that individual or do I need to travel to NV for that? Damage is around $1,000 at this point.

Any other ideas of how to take legal action on a budget against him?

A good reason to use escrow services for large domain purchases.

Try and get his ass on Judge Judy.

I'll tell you this though, you could file it in your district anyways, you'd have to have it served. Then if it was filed in the wrong place, he'd have to file a Motion based an it being the wrong venue. Might be worth a shot.

Luckily, I live in Las Vegas. No need to bring him to court when you can hire me to kill his family, dog, and burn his house.

Haha, jk, but not really...

$500
