Currently I'm using two computers at the same time by using a software called synergy. It enables me to use one mouse and keyboard to control two computers.

I'm sure there are people who use to PC's at the same time, how do you do it? One downside to synergy is every time i turn on the second computer i have to start up the program and sync them together. What i want is a hassle free way to use both pc's, i have dual monitors and each pc uses it's own monitor. I'm guessing a Kvm switch is my only option here.

Any input is appreciated!

When I used synergy I had it run automatically when I turned on the computer, was hassle free. Look in to it

Synergy is the bomb. It's seamless, lag free, and always works as intended. One keyboard/mouse for my windows laptop and linux box is so convenient. And it's free.

Drop the Synergy shortcut in 'Start>All Programs>Startup'?

IIRC you have to set the one that acts as a server, so make sure that's the PC you always have on first.
