This has been pretty standard since the 90s too. The standard operating procedure that the US has been using since then is to seize all your assets and ask questions later.

This is wonderful too since it makes hiring a criminal defense lawyer difficult, and the Feds would want nothing more than having you be stuck with a court appointed public pretender.

This is what happened to Vincent James (aka Vincent Passafiume) of "12 Month Millionaire" fame.

Dude built up a $100+ million rebill empire through print ads and direct mail before anyone on this forum had ever heard of "acai" and the feds buttfucked him hard.

Sure, he was no saint but they did a lot of shady shit looking for the prosecution.

At any rate, read that book if you can find it. AFAIK it's out of print now but it's a good read, IMO.

Saying that, this case stinks and is incredible how far it has gone.

This guy is doing the exact same thing every content platform online is doing.

Clearly not an even playing field, there is no chance this would happen to YT.

It was a good interview for damage control where he paints himself as a saint not a sinner but for those of us that used his services and despise FBI witch hunts, more power to him.
Dailymotion still have the vision, you just need to search for it.

EDIT; Just to clarify...Atm it is still at Dailymotion and can be found by searching 'Kim dotcom' and going to page 2 'first interview'. This may help those still looking.

Its simple,YT (Google) pays taxes to US and this guy doesn't. Its all about MONEY at the end of the day.
