Sorting keywords.. a necessary pain. I'm not talking about little piss piles of keywords but massive lists. I use a combination of a custom keyword sorting tool and carbon units, but I'm sure there are better ways.
I personally use Talend Open Studio for bulk data manipulations and transformations. I haven't found much that it can't do, particularly if your processes are repetitive and do not require ad-hoc decisions mid-stream..
