Keeping organised with Asana

Trello is nice, though I think I prefer Asana due to the way you can break tasks into finer and finer-grained checklists when needed. I find my attempts to use Trello have ended up with my board(s) getting a bit cramped.

I've been using self-hosted active collab for a few years now - has been doing the job pretty well. I'm sure our needs are not the same, but it may we worth a try.

Wow looks nice, will check it out.

Exactly I have been using self hosted version of Active Collab to manage all monthly seo clients and reporting for a year now and it gets the job done for me easily.

But Asana is also looking good and the best thing it's FREE.

Springpad for web and general life notes, decent Chrome plugin and Android app . Podio for projects, primarily for its modular customization options.

you can add checklists to individual notes in trello now, not sure if you knew about that. Helps a lot with clutter.

Wow, I've been away for a while but this is the reason I fell in love with this place. Great info. I was using Evernote and this is so much better in my opinion. Not as crowded as Evernote felt.

Have used most of a the free project management services (including Asana) but recently made the switch to Basecamp.. Am kicking myself for not just forking up the $ for it from the start.

The new Basecamp is really good, I agree! I got to use it briefly on another project last year. I just wasn't quite ready to pay for a service until I was sure I would actually keep using it and by then, Asana already had my mindshare, so I kept using it.
