I'm living address B 123 and a jury summons letter came in my name at address A 123. I don't live at A 123 but my relative brought the jury letter to me. For the past x number of years I have even lived anywhere close to this state but I temporarily stay here with a relative. There is no record of me ever moving back here really I've never changed my address to anything here and nothing I have shows any current address even in this state. Relative says if I don't answer the jury summons the police are going to come for me and shes going to tell them where I am, notsureifsrs.

Do I have to go to this?

Yes. But, fuck, it's jury duty. Show up for selection, make a bunch of racist comments about blacks, how the jews are affecting mind control of the neo-christian judicial system, and how obama is secretly a neo nazi.

You'll be home by lunch.

Call the county in which the summons is issued. Explain that you do not reside there anymore.

I am still in the same county but not the same address. The summons was going to come whether or not I did or didn't live here anyway but the last time I lived here was almost 6 years ago. I just happen to be back in the state, at a different address, unofficially.

Wear this, problem solved:

This has happened to me, and I just sent back the portion marked "I no longer reside at this address" or something to that effect. They haven't come to my home state to track me down.
