Wordpress imo, it's really goos with alot of plugins, as for the look of the site, get a designer to design an awesome team and it won't look 'bloggy'.One such good designer is { Liquid Smoke } ____ High Quality Web, Graphic, and Print Design

I am a big Joomla fan as well. There are some great looking themes available for it and if you'll spend a few hours going through the admin stuff, it will make sense.

At first, I didn't like it, but now I love it. There are at least 3-5 new add ons/extensions posted every day.

I can PM you some of my sites if you want to see what can be done.
