Job offer from USA - I'm in UK - How does it work now?

USed to live in Tempe. Live in Mesa now but its all about the same. I used to make $9.25 an hour. Thats shit and i was able to live(barely) by myself in a decent studio apartment. If you can find a place that pays utilities, you're golden.

Talk to a real estate agent about areas and rentals and stuff. The housing market isn't the best right now, so rents should be low and the agents will be hungry to sell anything. Worst case scenario just pretend you are going to rent a house and have them find the area you want and then just look up an apartment in that area.

Like if I'm on $40k a year -

I've been a single mom with 5 kids and supported all of us making less than that (including child support).

If the company made an offer, I'd be guessing they can get you here soon legally!

Go for it. You may be an "old" 22 year old, but opportunities like this will lesson as you get older. You can always go back after a year with an amazing adventure under your belt.

Ya I wish my company would send me to Europe with a job. That would be awesome. But I also have a lot of wanderlust in me and cant' stay put for too long.

just camp outside the embassy for 2 days and you'll get it

Haha I'm not from fucking India or Pakistan dude, lol, I'm not that desperate to get into the US to work - London has its own perks but yes, it would be fun I agree but waiting in a list for a fucking visa is a fucking joke, I don't do that shit lol

Waiting? Well I had the telephone interview with them two days back when I posted this -

They sent me the contract last night - so I don't know what I do now, I take this to the embassy?

Or...I say to the company there is only limited places?

You may like to check out britishexpats .com/forum this is a great place to get advice from fellow Brits. Helped me when I moved from UK to Canada?
