Japanese Invent Flying Robot Orb

Weak sauce
I can build that in about a day for less than $400 and not require a crowd to brag to about it. Mine would also support flame throwers and bikini snatching pneumatic arms.

You morons poo-pooing this invention are going to feel really stupid when you see them popping up everywhere doing things like taking pictures of your face, selling you shit, following your car, etc...

The only reason flying drones/bots weren't around before now is because they'd easily crash. This thing DOESN'T CRASH, and pretty much WON'T CAUSE LAWSUITS or injuries of any kind by interaction with people.

So basically what we've just witnessed is an extremely disruptive technology that will allow the government and private eyes and yes, even marketers all to go to very unscrupulous places that they didn't have access before.

The reasons they couldn't before were mostly for practicality, and partly for fear of litigation. Now neither reason exists.

What do you think is going to happen with this tech? The feds won't be interested? Yeah, right...

Red light cameras on steroids is what I see. Literally cameras issuing citations for every petty crime you think of, and no due process to fight the charges...

Police departments are going to love them. Manufacturers are going to love selling them to police.

This is EXACTLY what I thought. Jaywalking will never be the same.

That's a very nice toy. I would definitely get one.
Where can I order it?
Fugeddaboutit.

Something this useful to the government and security sector will have legislation passed about it in no time.... There's no chance in hell these will be sold to the public for a decade or more.

(Or even to marketers, for that matter... But madison avenue may get their foot in the door somehow after a while.)
