Heya guys,

I fkn hate iTunes. Fk, it really gives me the shots. But I just dont know what else is out there that is comparable.

Ive done some Googling and found Foobar, Media Monkey and Songbird. However, would love to hear what you guys are using and which ones to avoid.

Anyone using Zune??

I've used both Foobar2000 and Songbird quite a bit - Media Monkey not so much - and I really enjoy using both. Foobar is great because it's so lightweight but very versatile, and I just like the UI (probably my favorite). Songbird is a lot like iTunes, though the last time I used them, they still had a partnership with 7Digital (UK company) which was a bit of a hassle. The only time I ever used Media Monkey was to transfer some files to a device, and I'd highly recommend it for that use.

I am a fan of Spotify for just listening to music... not sure what you are using it for... i dont think it can sync with ipods or mp3 players or anything.

Call me old school but a proper private tracker beats all those services in quality, variety and availability. In addition you will find more different genres thanks to the community.

what.cd ftw!

Edit: Oh you mean for listening? foobar is all you need then.

Anyone using Zune??

I've been using Zune for a couple years, love it. Cheap with an amazing music selection.

I also started using Spotify since I use an Android phone and I don't see a zune client coming to Android anytime soon. It's not bad, not sure I'll switch but it's the best alternative I've tried yet.

I'm not much a fan of Mog, but their new HTML5 client is nice, I've cancelled the service twice, just something doesn't click for me. Pandora... m'eh.

Was using Media Monkey at the end of my iPhone's (3G) life cycle, because I also was very sick of that POS they call iTunes. They should rename it to iTurd or iCrap - it would be fitting.

You can sync and remove music with Media Monkey. However once and a while after pulling or pushing songs off your music library the device would say it was empty, when it wasn't. The fix always was to just connect your phone to your computer and open iTunes and it would fix it.

Your other option is to just throw your iDevice in the trash, get like an Android device and then not worry about Apples shit any more. Waaaaaay easier to manage your music on Android.

Unfortunately, Spotify isnt available in Oz!

I was using Qriocity, but it only streams music. Is that what Spotify does?

AIMP is an awesome one that most people haven't heard of.
