The official news will be released later today or tomorrow, but I'm a confirmed speaker at Affiliate Summit West for the Q&A panel.

The cool part is that all three of the topics will have me and another WickedFire member in it! We come and we conquer!

Here's the setup as far as I know:

It's a Q&A platform, so we basically sit on a stage/table and take live questions from the audience for an hour. We'll be fielding questions on here and on Shoemoney's blog for the topics the two of us will be covering. Probably going to pick the 3 best questions to address the crowd with, and then take live questions from the crowd. Shawn Collins told me to expect an attendance crowd at each 1 hour session of about 150-250 people.

How to be a Super Affiliate - Me & Shoemoney (shoemoney.com)

Shoemoney may also become a panelist on another topic, but I'm not sure, it's up to him.

I'm really excited to be on the panel, because I absolutely LOVE taking live questions and giving answers off the top of my head without having something to read them from. I won't be coming up with any answers or topic points beforehand, every piece of information will be in realtime and live. I've done public speaking to much larger crowds before, and I can assure you, I am fun and exciting, and totally feed off of the audience's energy and eagerness to learn. We are not being paid for this either, so I feel as if it's a real "giving back to the community" type of deal, and all in the name of the WickedFire team!

I know this sounds like a puff piece, but I really do want to thank Shawn Collins for giving me this opportunity to speak with the people at Affiliate Summit. My goal is to keep everyone entertained and informed.

Affiliate Summit West will be in Las Vegas on Jan 21-23. This panel will be on Jan 22nd. The conference will be hosted at Ballys. If you're not sure about going, you need to rethink that choice. There are going to be hundreds of ad network reps and industry people there. Great place for networking and building your business. Go to www.affiliatesummit.com and watch their little cool videos and read up on it. Very worthwhile in my opinion. I'm still trying to work out a discout for WickedFire forum members, so I'll keep you guys updated on it.

By the way.. we'll be making videos for WickedFire of us at the show, representing WickedFire, and maybe fucking with some of the people there. Should be a lot of fun, and there will definitely be boob pictures!!
 


Sounds like a good time.
One of these days I need to start making an effort to set aside money so I can plan to attend. What an excellent networking opportunity.
 
Sounds exciting! Lucky for me I might have the ability get my expenses paid on a trip to at least one conference this year. Better have some wickedfire t-shirts around Jon, cause if I'm there, I want one.

I can't say for sure, because I haven't planned for it. But if there is a way, then yes. I have connections in my local government where I can get my expenses paid for a conference or two.

I can't wait until I can start attending these. I don't think I could ever speak or do a Q&A 'cause 99% of the time no one understands what the heck I'm talking about unless I have a marker board to draw pretty pictures than maybe I could do it. :p

Why so much? Isn't the point of conferences to learn more so you can make more? I think one of the most important ways to learn anything is to hang around the people who do things so much better than you. If you want to make big money, then hang with the big earners. :cool:
