what do you use to show your up/down speed on the tray?

I think he's using Rainmeter. Check it out it's pretty cool.

how did you get it to look like a mac ?

Move the taskbar to the top, Rocketdock for the dock, Rainmeter for the weather/clock/calendar/etc. Oh, and a different Windows theme (can't remember the name).

cleaned up the desktop before taking this, 80% was filled with logfiles, random files, temp stuff etc.

Icons are hidden on double click/arranged in categories via Stardock Fences. Start menu on auto-hide, on the right side of the screen.

heres one of my workstations - yes its messy, yes I know where everything is. Every month I drag and drop all of the mess I've made onto the desktop and drop it into a cleanup folder... most important part is probably the chemdawg I'm about to smoke for 4:20 ... then I'll probably be in the bump when high thread =D
