Kinda like how Dresden is against any kind of mixing races, I don't see any good in keeping bloodlines pure. If we all made a concerned effort to scatter our DNA around willy nilly, there wouldn't be a need for any racism ever again in 1-2 generations, and then no more war.

The big problem is that non-whites cannot completely assimilate into a white society. There's always one thing preventing them achieving complete assimilation: Skin color.

Because of this, non-white groups will still stick out and eventually form their own raced based groups. They will fight for laws that favor them, etc. This leads to social strife. We see that in the US with dozens of black, Asian, etc groups. It's unfortunate but it's the reality.

It's odd, because Americans as a general populace are mutts. Through out history we've hated different groups of people Natives, Blacks, Irish, Italians, etc. It was okay if they were part Irish, because they didn't have the accent or their people came here before X date. Yes, exactly. The real danger is when you associate whites with being 'bad' or racist, it's much easier to deny western culture, which historically has been linked to whites. Not that western culture is linked to race, but we're seeing a very real movement away from western culture in most of the world. The chinese believe that their Konfucian culture is behind their growth. The arabs believe that Islam will save them. Blacks seem to think they can't suceed in a 'white' system.

But they seem to forget that whites became successful because of their culture, which ultimately led to superior war technology. The power that whites had was not the reason for western culture to be dominant, but western culture was the reason for why the west was militarily dominant.

I see no indication that greater power among asians, muslims or africans would lead to more freedom, democracy and progress.

Western culture will continue to evolve and change. But there is no reversing its impact on the world. The world has been built on western and eastern culture.

Is there danger of a decline? yes. Is there danger of loss of freedom and all that we have strived for? yes, but I would argue that this isn't simply an african, asian, islamic threat.

You can be happy about whatever you like, Rusvik. However... you're conflating race with culture. And what you call 'white' is in fact 'mixed-race' (norse, pictish, gaelic, germanic, celtic, roman, greek, slavic etc etc). That's why we're so variable in looks.

I agree with Red Baron, probably in 10-15 generations, 'white' people will be a minority in metropolitan Western Europe and the US. About 30% of the couples my age that I know (me included) are in 'mixed-race' relationships. 20 years ago, it was almost unheard of. The future is coffee-coloured (and, to be frank, much better looking than its anglo-saxon parentage ).

One of the reasons England (which was, from the mid-1700s until the 1st World War, a pre-eminent global power) was so successful was the constant influx of immigrants, traders and invaders refreshing and advancing its culture and technology.

I'm happy about my culture's history, but I'd identify as British, not White... I have little shared history with people who happen to share the same skin colour but who live in Russia or America, for example.
