First off, fuck you're doin great for 18. Second don't let people tell you, you have to go to college. I did nothing but waste time in school and eventually dropped out to surf instead. At least you have a great knowledge of marketing things and are doing that instead. Some people just aren't made or meant to be students in school. I have more books on coding and marketing then anyone I know. I study constantly. Can I sit in a class do listen to lectures and do homework that doesn't pay me anything other then learning, nope. That shit just isn't for me.

I'd rather teach myself how to code doing something that has a financial reward rather then just a peice of paper. I'm not say don't got to college by any means. I'm just saying different people learn in different ways. Some of the smart most successful people I know couldn't handle school. Usually because it moves slow and they want to give a "well rounded" education which a lot of people that know what they want don't care about.

Follow your own path, stay focused, keep growing and learning no matter what you do and you'll always end up where you want.
 
Sorry, but I vote for the 'stay in school' option too. I almost dropped out in the 3rd year at uni. I'm glad I stayed. To put it into terms everybody here understands, I now make $1k/day (net) profit, for every 8 hour day I work. All I have to do is show up. There is no doubt in my mind that I have a job like this because of my degree.

I also do AM on top of this but my regular job pays well and I enjoy it, so there's not a lot of incentive to 'quit my day job'.
 
Got to agree with samxor, college just isn't for everyone. I went for a few years and felt like I was wasting my time. They teach you a lot of bullshit your not interested in knowing, or will forget soon, and I much rather be learning and coding things I'm interested in. Besides most people use college as a huge jack off session for a few years before hitting the real world and working for the man or doing nothing.

If only I had a dollar for every person I meet that aren't even in the field they went to college for. Really, there's a hell of a lot - what the fuck you going to do with a major in English, or Spanish or Philosophy? So many jack off majors, I could go down the list by why bother.

I personaly say, do what makes you happy. If it's AM then go do AM. Sure you may have to work a side job for a while, but hell at least you'll be happy.

There's always the option to try college while you work on AM, and hell if it takes off then you cross the bidge and hope you don't have too much invested. Hey either way you can fail, so what do you have to lose?

Too bad AM isn't a college major. :rasta:

I'm staying in college so I don't have to work full-time and I still get health benefits, majoring in something Business.

Good to hear that things are going well
 
I don't know why everyone is so pro-uni.

Imo you should do part-time - that way you can enjoy the uni life at the right age (being old seriously messes it up) but you can still focus on your sites.
 
yep part-time education courses are the best option, you do the uni stuff and you can do a bit of AM...that was my plan (kinda) but damn admin team...so im stuck doing full-time for another year :p
