Is Wickedfire Turning Into Communist China? - Wickedfire Censorship Scandal Of 2010

We already know a majority of the mods are practically communists, so perhaps the recent sequence of events shouldn't have come as a surprise.

Turbo: self proclaimed liberal housewife
Lord B: mild-mannered liberal
Nickycakes: flaming liberal, voraciously devours Obama's nuts
Eli: atheistic liberal

Papajohn: kinda does his own thing politically, hates both sides
Barman: more interested in weed and porn

So when one of their own went on a purging spree, erasing evidence, deleting posts, censoring with wild abandon, and then demonizing legitimate dissent, perhaps it shouldn't have been a surprise that there was no apology or clarification whatsoever.

Any responses dealt solely with the IP Collection Scandal of 2010 or some version of it; however many were careful to tip toe around the explosive facts of the Wickedfire Censorship Scandal.

For clarification, let us review the Wickedfire Censorship Scandal of 2010:

AT LEAST 3 Wickedfire members, including me, saw their posts deleted, not for trollery or inappropriate comments(does such a thing even exist on WF?) - but because they criticized a moderator. And that moderator subsequently abused his powers to silence and crush their criticism.

And so I ask you, great Wickedfire members, is this place turning into Communist China? Can we now count on critical posts getting deleted? Must we now pay obeisance to those who hold moderator powers over us? Has the free speech we've held dear for so long evaporated into thin air? Must we now live in fear and terror of voicing the truth, in case it causes some of the higher ups displeasure?

Can we now expect Wickedfire censorship?

And for those whose vaginas will no doubt bleed profusely over this thread, I direct your attention to Jon's response when queried over this growing crackdown on free speech:

Mine were deleted, Fatbat's were deleted, but you're missing the point. It's Wickedfire censorship. Whether a post is deleted or removed to some random thread, it's GONE. It's taken from its proper context and thrown into some random thread where it makes no sense whatsoever. So it loses any effectiveness it had, WHICH IS THE INTENTION ALL ALONG.

Post manipulation by the mods is post manipulation regardless.

Is this what we can now expect? Can we now count on censorship from Wickedfire?

I was sipping on it and couldnt hold back my huge laugh while reading yet another epic HB title.
 
I've been keeping out of this because I'm a nobody around here. I've been a member for 2 1/2 years only got 100 posts and wanted to do something useful before I drew attention to myself but ah fuck it!

Hellblazer is right! It's not the IP stuff that pisses me off it's the fact that nicky avoided the issue, then tried to dodge the issue and now is being cocky and arrogant in the face of all the drama about it and anyone who speaks up against him is slagged to fuck about saying anything!

While all this is going on the other mods are just looking away.

There's a real feeling of unrest and it's a shame no one will be the one to try and sort it out.

That's my thoughts on it.
 
hellblazer i hope you are writing this shit with a smile on your face. i read this shit and thought to myself, what sensational writing... you're like the drudge of wickedfire.

really i had to laugh cause the shit is funny. you guys are taking this so fucking seriously. it's a free forum. you can come and go as you please so go to digitalpoint or warriorforum where its run by true nazi douchebags.

every mod here has their own style. there is no set of rules on shit we can do and cannot do. if there are, i don't know where they are. jon and stan don't run a fucking board meeting every morning to discuss the days events. we don't get meeting minutes either. i don't talk to them except for the occasional here and now (or to get yelled at by jon for practical jokes)

basically we're here to keep the shit as clean as can be (removing spam, scams, and other bullshit that clogs the drains). wickedfire is laid back, so if someone is accused of fucking up they're not going to get the boot unless its something mindblowing like some of the other shit that goes down in the industry. cakes is an OG.

some of you keyboard warriors are dedicating your lives to this. look how long this post is. i never write shit this long. posts about this shit are like 5x as long. what the fuck.

its all politics like you want a fucking mod position. who cares. its not the knights of the fucking roundtable.

i vote instead of having nickycakes step down, we have hellblazer mod the forum for a week. see how the fickle mob likes it then.

if we could pull that off i'd come up with a list of a 100 nice things to say about obama and give them each their own thread. I bet you by the end of the week I could have a pretty massive mob built up against hellblazer.
