Is it not possible to get demographic info of leads you generated?

Has anybody successfully managed to obtain demographic info (like age and gender) of the leads you generated?

I asked a couple of CPA networks I'm working with and their replies were the same - such info is not readily available. One network that rejected me told me it's due to "confidentiality" issues.

This got me confused as these were the leads *I* generated, so why is there the confidentiality? In fact, they would only stand to benefit from my getting hold of the demographic info since I'd be able to better optimize my campaign to send them MORE leads.

What do you think?

If they don't want to treat you like a partner, then play dirty. Set yourself a budget that's worthwhile for you to find these demographics. Steal the advertisers landing page. Replace the form with your own. Collect the leads yourself and now you know the demos.

The network doesn't have this data, unless the offer you are running is one of their own in-house offers. So the "confidentiality" answer you are getting isn't from the network, but from the merchant.

Merchants typically fall under one of two camps with their data. Either they're very protective of it and won't release it, or, they don't have the ability to release the data specific to a sub-ID. I know the latter sounds strange, but there are some merchants who have difficulty placing tracking pixels, let alone develop internal reporting.
