Is it just me or is facebook refreshing pages to amp up the impressions?

I've just noticed this and they definitely weren't doing it before but every few minutes the page gets refreshed and a new set of ads is shown.

I guess after the IPO they finally have some motivation to further monetize the platform.

PS: Somehow I don't think CPM advertisers will like this.

Facebook in needing money to look like big company shock.

"Quick, we managed to convince investors, and 90% of WickedFire.com that we're a $100b company. We made about $1b this year, user interaction is dropping, 34% of users admit to being bored, nearly 50% of users see no ads and less ads is getting teh clickz...

"Oh, I noes, refresh pages every few minutes to stop from being sued for lies about company and cause more expense to reluctant advertisers. But stop those cleavage shots, dat be bad."

Massive platform, yes, massive and increasing ad revenues... No. LOLZ @ Facebook.

Haven't noticed any refreshing, maybe they're experimenting with it.

I am reaching the point of being 'over' facebook... it's only useful to me for group messaging my friends (all fake accounts I created myself, but friends nevertheless).

Has anyone noticed that it actually records and tells you if the recipient has viewed the message? not talking about wall posts, but messages. I find it quite invasive, I can no longer just lurk and read messages without the other person seeing I've read it and chosen not to respond.

Well hey, when your CTR is THIS shitty:

You might as well refresh the fucking things once in a while. Who knows, maybe someone will click on an ad. At this point I would imagine they're trying anything possible to defeat banner blindness because with CTRs like this now I can't see their future looking too bright.

They've got to get their fuckin' groupon-killer deal offer thing happening and their external ad network up and running, then it's skull crushing time.

Also noticed this just over the past couple weeks, however, if you don't focus on the box I don't think it comes up. So if its still flashing and you avoid clicking it I don't think 'Seen' comes up.
