good info, appreciated.

so moral of the story...if you're gunna run blog style lander...do it on other traffic sources...i DO wanna try it with my niche (not berries)...but i dont wanna get slapped around by G, facebook, myspace...etc.

Well, the good news about Myspace is that they don't slap you around they just overcharge your account by $30,000 and then don't return calls or e-mails or support tickets about it.

All my 'rebill' offer campaigns have stopped receiving impressions, so its more than just Acai. However, I do have other non CPA related campaigns still running as normal, so it looks like they didn't just slap my whole account.

Well for those that did get their accounts suspended:
Did you name your campaings/adgroups with the keyword "acai" in the name?

If you promoted acai but did not use the keyword "acai" as the group/campaign name, did you get your account shutdown?

I had one run with the acai blog lander on content and it got slapped pretty quick (1 day). I deleted the campaign and all the other stuff in my account looks good still.

More or less what I've learned so far is:

 1. Adwords support flat out lies. Multiple individual campaign slaps will fuck your account, but not lead to a ban.
I'm not disagreeing here but just wanted to say that I've had a lot of slapped and shitty QS campaigns (my fault) and haven't experienced this going forward with new campaigns. But, what I have experienced though is a bit of a problem trying to work up a good QS after I ran a shitty QS campaign on the same keywords before. e.g. In one niche (that I ran a low quality campaign for before) under my main account I was paying $3 more per click vs a new account I opened in my MCC. FWIW my account is 3 years old.

 1. It's not a question of the product or lander style. "User experience". If they think the LP is scammy, they smack it. If they think the product is scammy, they slap it. Since the blog style lander seems linked in their minds with acai+rebills, it alone can get a slap. Or running acai in general(even w/o the blog) gets a slap. Not always with the blog style, but more than it should.
I don't think they don't want anyone running acai, I think they just have beef with the ____weightloss.com blogs.

I have a blog style review lander (not ___weightloss.com) that I ran on search before and it still holds a 10/10 QS ($1 top 3 clicks for acai terms) since like July. Don't look for it it's not running.

So what can we learn from all this? Google is pretty random sometimes..

I ran acai since about 4 months ago. My first slap was about 3 weeks ago and they slapped content and search same day.

Day after first slap I reset everything up with a new domain / ip. It got instant 10/10 QS and ran for 3 days before getting slapped.

About a week later I reset up with new site / ip one more time to see what happened and search got instant 10/10 QS has been running for about a week now, acai content network gets zilch impressions.

It appears they may have super fucked my content because I can't get impressions on any new content campaigns.

Ok now we're getting somewhere.
My content network is by far worse off than my search network.
So possible IP based flagging, and content network dies account wide.
Any one got anything that says the same/different?

Those of you who are getting slapped/banned, are you bidding on general/unrelated keywords? A few weeks ago I noticed acai ads were taking up 5/8 spots on one of my hdtv blog which obviously had an extremely low CTR since they were unrelated. I would imagine a good chunk of the acai berry complaints came from adsense webmasters who had 1% CTR instead of their normal CTR.

I have my content campaigns all slapped (not acai but affiliate related). They were back for 2 days ( i haven't resubmitted them or something) and then back to zero impressions.

Well, I haven't been affected at all. I do promote some acai, but mine may be considered less shady than many other rebills. (Don't ask me to explain this).

I've had my account since 2005 and all it running well. I'm entirely focused on search with CTRs of acai about 10%.

Are the rest of you having problems because you have newer accounts vs. old/well-established accounts?

Now I know why you should delete campaigns instead of pausing them. Even with deleted campaigns, you can still pull up the history so it's not like deleting will make them disappear forever.

Anyone who wants to salvage their accounts (if they think their entire account isn't fucked) should probably delete their shitty acai campaigns if they want to keep their account alive.

Thats what I have done with my acai campaigns. So far, other campaigns running fine. My Credit Report content network campaign got fucked in this mess though.

has anyone actually been slapped/banned for just having a blog style lander? not actually running an acai campaign?

i'm thinking about launching a campaign but i dont wanna get fucked for using a blog lander

if i were a person at google capable of slapping, i would slap every blog page i could just because they suck and show a complete lack of effort/ingenuity. the first person to use the technique had creativity. every else, no.

What about us poor schmucks who have no design skills? Sometimes WP is the only way for us to have a lander that doesn't look circa 1996.

Using WP for a landing page wasn't the issue with Google and these diet blogs. It had nothing to do with what CMS or HTML editor you used to make these acai berry landing pages.

I also got QS 1/10

Although in a different niche (not dating or acai), I was told specifically by Google that my blog style landers were no good, because "Your website has got only blog content". I have tried a bunch of things to get around it and kiss their asses, but they refuse to give me anything more than 1/10 QS.

Their rep worded it this way: "landing pages with blog content are liable to receive a low quality score"

My acai campaigns on G have been paused for a while now - long before this account-ban raid began.

I was given QS 1/10 for all my cap in that account of Acai:(
