When Canadian troops rolled through the streets of a country to provide peace, everyone knew that is was ok, because they were Canadian. That was 20 - 30 years ago though, and very unfortunately, we managed to fuck that up big time. At one point though, we were known as the world's peacekeepers. When the UN needed a peacekeeping mission done, they'd first look at Canada to handle it. That era is gone now though.

The problem of course is that 99 out of 100 Americans don't know this and are so consumed by their own superiority complex that they'll never hear it either.

lol @ people sayin America is better than Canada. I've lived in both Canada and the US. Been in the US for around 4 years now, and it's ALWAYS Americans saying "We're better than this, we're better than that". During my 16 years in Canada, I honestly can't recall one instance where someone would continuously compare themselves and say they are better than another country.

Wtf is up with Americans and that bullshit? Noticed similar mentality during my two years of high school in California. "Oh, I'm a senior, I'm better than you since you're a sophomore". Shit is gay as fuck

Who gives a rats ass if you're from America, or from mother fuckin SOMALIA. It's annoying as shit. That's why this country is so fucked up. Cause they're always focusing on the wrong shit.

Too bad we've lost that. For example, it's been over a decade now, and my mom still bitches that Canada is involved in Afghanistan. She insists we're not supposed to be the aggressors involved in actual wars, but instead, the peacekeepers.

heh, yeah... I was just a youngin' at the time, but I remember that. I also remember when he personally went to Africa for a couple weeks, and walked through various villages to see the problems first-hand. I was young at the time, but I thought that was kick-ass. There's also one other thing he did that impressed me, but I can't remember... told the US to fuck themselves, toured Africa, and one other thing... can't remember though.

Lots of people always complain about Chretien, but I thought he was great. Same with Martin. I thought Martin was an excellent PM too. Very down to earth, good heart, level headed, etc. Now we got some dickhead named Harper in there, and can't say I'm thrilled to have him as PM.

What are you doing to do? Invade us, and destroy the infrastructure that powers the military which is invading us? That'd be smart. :)

US and Canada. Kinda like a dysfunctional marriage, but we're both stuck with each other, so might as well make the best of it. :)
