Iran sentences 4 to death in $2.6B fraud case

Oh 2.6 billion. I thought it said $2.60 in the title and was like, what the fuck?!

As much as I'm against capital punishment, I gotta say that Iran seems to have a lot of their priorities more straight than we do... As long as it doesn't come to religion.

Capital punishment for the win.
Atleast kill murderers, pedophiles, rapists, etc Why do we have to keep them alive and spend state money on them? Doesn't make sense.
Also to discourage crime in general it is absolutely necessary to make an example out of some of them. My question to those against capital punishment would you vote to keep Ted Bundy or Osama alive?

I'd vote for a society that doesn't create crazies like Ted Bundy and Osama en masse. I'd vote for a system that doesn't give flawed men like myself the power to vote away someone's life.

That said, I don't think I'll lose any sleep over this.

Capital punishment - and if there was a mistake in the conviction?

Capital punishment for the win.
I believe I said those exact words once. How naive I used to be...

You're right about this part. But the devil is in the details.

Also to discourage crime in general it is absolutely necessary to make an example out of some of them.
If you think so then you're doing it wrong.

My question to those against capital punishment would you vote to keep Ted Bundy or Osama alive?
Bundy? Probably not, but I don't trust anyone but Bundy himself to make that decision.

Osama? Of course. We gave him all his guns and power to fight the Russians for us, and then we gave him free run of our airports to kill our targets in NYC & DC. The man should not have been hated against for anything other than his wacky religion... Like most everyone else in that part of the world. -He was simply following orders and well paid to carry them out.

Now, my question for you: How do you justify taking another person's life? Would you personally walk up to Ted Bundy and stick a bullet in his head? If so, why do you feel so certain that he deserves that when you weren't even there to witness his crimes?

Yeah send them to jail and give them a comfortable life there using peoples' tax money

I don't agree with capital punishment, but I think prisoners have far too many privileges
and rights.

Fuck, most prisoners live better inside than a large section of the population do on the
outside. The only thing that makes prison 'hell' is the behaviour of the other prisoners
toward you. And that shouldn't be the case - the prison conditions should be the
punishment/deterrent, not the crazies you're in with.

That's why Iran is in the crosshairs of the western world. Banksters are scared of the Muslims. It's like when the U.S. says Iran is our number one national security issue.

What? Iran is like on the other side of the Earth and has a navy the size of a Lego armada.

There are some great documentaries on this stuff.

What if prison wasn't for punishment, but was instead to reform prisoners, allowing them to safely reintegrate into to society?

Would that explain the "rights and privileges" they have?

If only that were the case.
